Thanks Short Bird That's good to know.
I'm another rather impressed by Black Friday Deals. Got a football, shin pads and a cashmere scarf so far. I deliberately didn't look this morning or I'd have bankrupted myself. Something coming up at 9pm tonight. Hmmm.
Everything is washed and ironed! I'm very pleased with myself.
DH worked from home today and we had lunch out. We bumped into his sister on the way back to the car. She should't have been in the town centre and neither should he so we had a giggle about it.
Happy birthday Ionafan xxx0 -
I am envious of all you ladies that know how to knit, my mam said she was going to teach me about 6 years ago, I still have never set eyes on a knitting needle.
I have done nothing, I will soon.
I'm teaching myself. Loads of videos online. I had one free lesson with a lady in John Lewis, I took a pattern in - basic pearl snood and she helped me choose the wool and needles, cast on for me and showed me what to do. Give it a go.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
hello all, positive vibes to all that need 'em!
I had a great day yesterday, even though I was feeling poo, I got a LOT done and it just goes to show what I can achieve when I put my mind to it (read: what I can achieve when I'm not lazy and stay off the internet)
But today was a WASHOUT. My son has autism and doesn't sleep very well sometimes because of it, and last night he decided to wake up at 2am.......and stay up. So I only had 2 hours sleep. As soon as he went to school I went back to bed, and stayed there till half 2. I've done nothing except my online grocery shop. Now I'm back off to bed, tomorrow will be better (hopefully).
Happy birthday Ionafan :beer:Working my butt off to buy the house of my dreams!0 -

I've spent the entire day doing my dads birthday present.
Its almost done. Just a few tweeks, but I need to look at it with fresh eyes tomorrow.
DD was in a strop when she came home from school. She's being bullied again  According to her she's reported it via the website, lost her rag in a lesson so that teacher sorted the kids in that class out (or at least he appears to have done), and reported it to her group tutor last Friday. Last straw is that DD has started lashing out at me, I'm not standing for it. I've told her to see her teacher again tomorrow or email him what's going on. Nothing appears to be happening from what I can see and I have a feeling DD is going to snap at this rate and end up getting suspended for punching one of them. The other day in PE they did boxing with a bag, and DD really enjoyed that. She had a bruised hand the next day but apparently she nearly knocked the bag off the hook as she was picturing it was a particular bullies face  (I've since looked into her taking a boxing style class at the sports centre, but she's either too young or its on when she's at school). Its parents evening on the 5th and if things haven't improved they'll be seeing a not so pleasant but still civilised side of me as I had words last year with them over this and it doesn't seem to have improved.
I have work tomorrow, and I've just realised I've not contacted a customer about coming for their order :wall: Its been here a week already but I've been so busy I completely forgot. I need to go digging through my files to see if I have a number for her. I have 5 numbers in my call list with no name, one of them is hers but I haven't got a clue which one as its different to the one she called me from last time and some of those numbers aren't customersEx is calling on his lunch tomorrow to discuss DD's situation so I need to make sure I am home for that. I need to get the shredding & ironing done so I may do that tomorrow afternoon so DD has a full wardrobe to chose clothes from for going away again this weekend. I can't believe its December on Sunday.
I best stop the rambling and get myself to bed. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I've gone over my 15 binbag pledge and done a total of... 26... I am aiming to get rid of another 4 over the next 2 days so it equates to one for each day of the month..
9 binbags have gone from the boys room.. it has a mould problem.. so I have moved the chest of drawers covering the radiator and opened windows and binned lots so the floor and wall are actually visible.. it has made a big difference to the temperature in there and you can smell the mould drying.
Pixie went to bed 2 hours earlier than usual tonight. I have been dragging her out of bed and keeping her up more during the day and we got the jumperoo back from DD1 so are using that to tire her out too.. and baths.. they knock her out too.. I would much rather she did a 15 hour sleep starting at 7pm than starting at midnight so we are working on it.. poor baby is so tired in an afternoon but it only allowed a short nap in her comfy chair rather than her snuggly basket where she doesn't wake up! She has discovered thumb sucking so settles herself quite nicely.
Washing was all up to date but.. I have 5 baskets from clearing 2 rooms and a mountain of towels in the bathroom and one in the girls room. My weekend mission is to catch up.
I have a few ebay bits to post tomorrow too so I shall sort those in the morning.
tesco slot booked for Christmas delivery.
I have a boot still to collect for Moomin.. MUST get that done!!!
I need to get DD1's OH a Christmas jumper started and make a start on OH's 2nd one.. he is my size guide! lol the XL is ginormous!!! but that is what he usually wears, I may just do him a medium one and make it longer.. jumpers are never long enough for his long bodiedness!
I have decided not to take part in this years card or present exchanges.. I can't commit myself to anything at the moment but you don't need those things from me.. you are all a piece of my heart and life now and I love you all.. we may have our disagreements but that is normal in any family..

Have had a bad nights sleep because of blocked ear. Should have been sorted yesterday. Have to wait till next Wednesday.
Will tackle living room today.
Pick shredder up.
Meeting DD for lunch and shopping.
Been really bad with chocolate lately. Doesn't help having it in the house. I'm going to try and just stop eating it. I'm blaming the dark nights and cosying up on the sofa.0 -
Peaceful vibes to Dusty and rest "sans chocolat" vibes to boddy
We were up in the night too, littlest moo had a bit of tummy ache, I think. She just wants to lay on me when she's feeling meh.
But we're at home today, once we get DS off to school. We need to bake some biccies for the fundraising fair after school, so will do that this morning. Thinking we won't go swimming if she's not right. Will make tea before we go to fair too, ready for when we get home.
I MUST CALL THE HAIRDRESSER!
Sounds like a kitchen day for me. Might also make a trial candy sleigh. The kids can copy and make more at the weekend.
Hope you all have a positive day XBossymoo
