  • Did the second coat of gloss work to DD bedroom this morning, the cupboard door took ages today... I think the door needs another coat or two and the rest should be okay with the two I've done... I'm not going to gloss her door tomorrow as I'm going to give it an extra drying day... so tomorrows plan is downstairs priming of doors...

Update my list, if it's gone it's done

Tuesday ~ Kitchen and dining room
Wipe the tables and replace the cloth if necessary -KIDS JOB, they do it after tea :)
    Scrub down the dining chairs..
Binbag dance! Grab a binbag.. fill it up.. and chuck it out!
    Extras - help yourself!

    • Empty and wash out bins- EMPTIED but it really needs a clean, so will do it tomorrow
    • Check the freezer, see what needs using up
    • If you want a christmas supermarket delivery you need to book it this week!
I got carried away with the S&S fridge, I ended up deep cleaning it and doing food plan around it :)

Time for a quick :coffee:before picking kids up!

Everyone is sounding very on top of things today, well done!!

I'm not!! Typed 1 job, been up to Church for a meeting from 10.50 - 12.40 then whizzed up to local shops and got DD's birthday card & a few presents I'd ordered and am now sat here in my coat still having to do the following:

Monday ~ Lovely Living Room, Happy Hall and Safe Stairs
    Wipe/vacuum sofas
Dust any areas below eye level
Dust anything above eye level (if safe to do so) Wash any soft furnishings in need

Tuesday ~ Kitchen and dining room
    Clear and wipe work surfaces
Wipe down all the major appliances.. clean filters/drawers/seals etc
Wipe the tables and replace the cloth if necessary
    Mop the floors
    Deweb and defluff these rooms
    Clear and mop/vacuum the floors
Binbag dance! Grab a binbag.. fill it up.. and chuck it out!
Clean the oven.. and the shelves!
    Extras - help yourself!

    • Clear out a manky cupboard
    • Check the freezer, see what needs using up
    Typing x 1
    Wrap presents
    Dinner: Chicken curry

Most important thing I guess is to feed the dog and wrap DD's presents as once she's home I'm stuck ... sounds like a plan doesn't it :)

Thanks for that article re Spoons Dusty - I'd never read it before and it made perfect sense. How's Royal Paws doing?

MinnieMousesMummy don't worry if you don't get all the jobs from the week completed as they will come up again - each room is done once per week. I find having too long a list makes me reluctant to even start anything but of course we're all different!

Teaandcakeaddict welcome!! Sorry you're feeling unwell. I think I'm along your lines of letting the house getting into a right state then when it's better just letting everything slip so it ends up bad again. We'll have to try not to let that happen again won't we! Take it easy mind if you're feeling bad, don't overdo it.

Pigpen has OH worn his jumper yet? I bet it's lovely and snuggly. Sorry you've got a poorly little girl :(

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhh - I still can't find the receipts, on the plus side the house, especially paperwork is getting very tidy!

Mumto2 RP is much happier today, she is snuggling with fluffy flat cat at the moment, I think because it is cold in the house. Going to hoover to warm up!

    Tuesday

    Extras
    • Clear out a manky cupboard
Fantastic list today its basically everything I was planning on doing :)
I have also cleaned the Bathroom, the window inside and out, tiles, toilet, sink, re-organised the cupboard under the sink, cleaned the bath and non-slip bath mat thing.

Changed all bedding again to kill the last of the germs, HHI , hoovered the bathroom, bedrooms, landing and stairs. So I am going to get stuck in to the kitchen.

Thank you for the well wishes for boydog, we need to starve him for 48 hours (this seems like a long time to me) and take him back so she can have a good feel and maybe a xray but with it being thin plastic nothing could show up with him being a old chap she doesn't want to do anything too drastic too soon x

Kettle's just boiled if anyone wants :coffee:
I'm shattered and have pulled a muscle in the side of my back which is making me ooh and aah every time I catch it wrong :(.
Machine running full of vinegar and cushions. Thought I'd kill 2 birds with one stone and do the cleaning boil wash at the same time as the cushions. MiL will be here with littlies soon. You can bet she'll arrive whilst I'm sitting on my bum!

How are the November Challenges coming along? Just awarded the first :xmassmile

Please include:rudolf:in your post to let me know how you are getting along.

Lame Wolf I think you have completed yours too?
:rudolf: Not quite finished - I need to copy the tidied-up files onto the backup flash drive; hoping to do this tomorrow, as Mr LW will be back at work and I'll have chance to concentrate on what I'm doing.

Too darned tired to do it today, as I don't want to make any stupid errors just through tiredness. On which subject, thanks for locating the Spoon Theory, saved me hunting.;)
Mumto2 RP is much happier today, she is snuggling with fluffy flat cat at the moment, I think because it is cold in the house.
Excellent news - I'll keep the feel-better vibes coming as long as they're needed.

Cold here too - we're currently waiting for blokey to turn up to service the boiler.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

:rudolf: I'm just over 75% of the way there on my November challenge. I might not be able to reach a cubic metre but the exercise has clarified what the problem is and that's incredibly helpful.
    Better is good enough.

I'm updating now whilst sitting down with a well deserved - even though I say it myself! - coffee. I just sat down as DH came in - so now he will think I've been on here all afternoon!

Dining room blitzed to an inch of its life - covings and light fittings, windows and frames. skirtings and door frame, piano, table, chairs and bookcase all washed (love soapy wood cleaner and St**drops!). I have even washed rinsed and dried every ornament and put a few to one side for cbs. Carpet including edges done well too - can't usually see it for papers (they are currently in the hall!!!)
Also emptied DW and dried hand washed pots and prepared potatoes to go with the casserole - it smells delicious!!!

If I can keep up this rate until the end of the week I hope I can achieve my challenge which was to declutter the whole house excluding loft and garage -aaargh!!! I am also winter cleaning it at the same time! Does one box of paper frogs count as clutter?
Just got the dentists Thursday to get in the way.

Well done to everyone - we are on a roll!!!
