PIGPEN; DS was telling me last night that the kindle fire is as good as an iPad (guess what he's after!). I don't know myself. We only use our iPad for surfing, gaming and apps which we can do on a kindle fire or any other tablet I suppose.
My nephew has a large Samsung Galaxy tab and my niece has a little Samsung notepad thing. Both are ideal for their needs but they are children.
TBH, I know that we don't use our iPad to the full potential :o

an ipod.. just for music.. he has a laptop he doesn't need a tablet type thing.. it will keep his ears occupied on school runs! but I do have a kindle fire.. in a drawer upstairs, unused!

Well kids seem loads better today, we were woken by the most awful smell boydog had done 3 runny poo's on the kitchen floor YAK!!!

OH has taken him to the vets, I have a feeling its a bit of plastic obstructing something so could need a op! I need to stop the kids sharing their toys with him and the daft dog from eating them.

I need to catch up with the lists and the thread and then get on with some actual cleaning.

Congratulations mummyroysof3 on getting your diploma!

Hope your dog is ok lozzy, and that he doesn't need an operation x

Can someone please tell me what spoons and sticks are?

I'm not feeling well today, overdid it yesterday by lifting those chairs off the table. Having M.E can be really restrictive when you get "punished" afterwards when you do feel up to doing things (and have to rely on OH to do heavy things like hoovering), but I'm going to give the kitchen 15mins today and focus on sorting.

Guess who was skim reading :o!
OK, have ordered the hobbit, a new kettle, a lowepro backpack and done *some housework. I really, really MUST go and get dressed. I actually have time to now as the deals I was after have kinda stopped for a while. Will then continue to plod through the lists.
Will wash the windows as soon as am dressed as I noticed a load of condensation around the top of the lounge window. Only it's not, it's sticky !

    Mummyroyof3 - well done
Lozzy - hope boydog is ok

Thanks Natty for the list. I'm reporting in late this week although I made a head start with the LR on Sunday as we put the Xmas tree and decs up.

Nov challenge is done although we still haven't found bedding/curtains that DD likes so a trip into York later beckons.

No flying yesterday as commute was a nightmare especially on way home. 45 minutes sitting on train going nowhere with no explanation. The journey should only take 30 mins.

Anyway, today I have done the dailies, taken the car to garage for new bulb, booked booster appt for littleydog and swallowed a frog. Have also put something on freecycle and got a charity bag ready for collection.

Have just taken a look at today's list, and working backwards (!), think I need to sort out our Xmas shopping delivery later today, or maybe even make a start on it in a minute.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • I have watched one session on the DVD, cleaned the toilet, prepped the brownies (will mix up & cook this afternoon) and written about 12 words on my essay :o They don't even form a whole sentence or make sense!

I am going to retrieve the buggy from the shed (hoping the dog follows me, as I need to shut him in the kitchen while I have children here) and put up the high chair before I head out to the nursery. No more studying will be done here until this evening - I am getting panicky now!

Lamewolf has the best explanation of 'spoons' and will not doubt be along to give you the link. I think you'll find it helpful if you have ME. 'Sticks' are for people who are followed about by (Winston Churchill's) Black Dog - his name for depression. The stick is to get the BD to run away.

Mummyroysof3 - huge congratulations on the Diploma! Essay writing vibes for GI, and coping vibes for RP and Dancemum. Valli, is there any way you can tackle the possibility you are being used? You're a straight shooter, and I would have thought a carefully phrased question would get you the honesty you deserve.

For me, dailies and night time routines Just the Two of Us are those things that if I do them before I actually need to, make my life easier. I'm a shocker for leaving things until the last minute and it really does make life feel highly stressed at times, so I'm developing small habits to stop that happening. Other people will no doubt have other ideas but that's my version.

I've got to change three beds, clean the shower room, vacuum four rooms, make a machine that won't work, work and reboil one batch of crabblie jelly that just won't do as it is. Ideally I'd like to catch up on the high tide of paperwork that's flowing over the entire desk now and also sort another chunk of that cubic metrey junk in the attic. Hmmm. Time for another two:coffee: I think, following Ionafan's suggestion - I can't do bananas. That's obviously what's stopping me from achieving things.
    Better is good enough.
