I am stunned and disappointed by the post of New and Improved Me. Ok you've finally managed to keep off the weight - and yes we all know how hard it is - but a little compassion and encouragement is far better than a big rant.0

Oops should also have said Thank You Anoneemoose for our post. A lesson for all of us to accept and like who and what we are.0

I would also like to say thank-you to Anoneemoose, I've just been diagonsed with Fibromyalgia and your postive post on how you have begun to accept the effect on you, has really made me feel postive if you can do it, then so can I so thank-you for being so postive.

Why should anyone 'take if from someone' like you? You weren't very good at it, were you? You know as well as anyone that losing weight is difficult. So you're slim now... but inside that fatty's still waiting to pop out! I don't think you're finished... I think the end of this story is slim FAT slim FAT Slim SLIM SLIM FAT FAT FAT :rotfl:"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Not if the person inside the thin beautiful body thinks that s/he is better than everyone who weighs more than the skinny one!
Beauty is not skin deep - it is the person inside that body - whether fat or thin, old or young, disabled or able bodied. The person who thinks that thin is beautiful is deluding themselves and is a very shallow person.
Perhaps New Improved Me should consider changing her name to New Shallow Me0 -

It is the 'thin is beautiful' fallacy that kept me in that perpetual state of self loathing.
Beauty, I have discovered is many things. Like I said in my PP, my kids think I am awesome. They tell me they love me and I am the best. Would they do that more just because I had a size 10 figure - I think not.
My friends love me and enjoy my company. Again, would they like me more if I was thin?
My husband is very enthusiastic about intimate stuff and again, I have realised that this would not be any moreso if I slimmed down.
I imagine this will be a long journey for me but I feel so determined that I shall not let the opinions of the small minded (like you) bother me.0 -

Sorry to burst your little self righteous bubble but yes people can be any size and be happy, happiness is not down to what size label you wear or what you weigh! I hope one day you find the happiness you seek instead of judging others by their size
Take it from someone who has been slim FAT slim FAT Slim SLIM SLIM…its a shame your self control does not come in to play when you feel the need to slate others or to judge, us humans come in all shapes and sizes how boring would life be if we were all a size zero!
The secret to dieting is SELF-CONTROL, if you have none……..YOU WILL FAIL….. simple fact… wow what a miracle you have found, the holy grail and secret of dieting! ha ha what a load of nonsense
NO-ONE is born FAT….FATNESS is a direct cause of what you stuff down your through…… have you actually stopped for a second to realise that some people may have medical reasons as to why they have gained weight? or need daily medication that has side effects that could contribute to weight gain?
The MAJORITY of people who say they are happy being a size 18/20 are just lying to themselves……. erm no actually, I am size 18/20 and very happy I have a lovely partner who does not care what I weigh, I have great friends and family who dont care either and guess what neither do I! no lies here
The FACT is……..they have no self-control to do what NEEDS to me done and therefore put a façade on for themselves and other people that they are “HAPPY’’ just being FAT…. Thats right honey bring on the chocolate cake!! no facade needed I am genuinely happy and same goes for anyone of any size just because people like you seem to think that people who are bigger sized must be desperately unhappy does not make it true!
If I could offer u a miracle pill that would make you go from a size 20 to a size 10…..I can GUARANTEE you that you would ALL be lining up to get it…..no thanks!
To Anoneemoose you sound like a wonderful person and an amazing wife and mother, your new change of thinking sounds very positive and good on you.
Personally I think diets are the work of the devil lol! a training course on how to get miserable and become obsessed with food!0 -
New and Improved Me it's good that you are happy, however I think you must be lacking in vitamins as your posts are rambling maybe your concentration is affected by your diet, have you tried Coenzyme Q10?
Also your keyboard is broken as it keeps bursting into capitals and repeating the full stop.
As for self control you clearly do not possess any where running off at your mouth is concerned. The most potent weapon of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed. Steve Biko0 -

Do you know what? You are sooooooo wrong.
Happiness comes from within, your attitude and those around you.:T
I spent many years, slim, pretty (not boasting, just was), and healthy. Good career, lovely kids - a fairly charmed (although financially strapped at times) life. And, I was happy.
I am now approaching pension age, disabled, fatter, the odd wrinkle, and breasts that when I take me bra off can act as toe warmers...
But, I'm still happy - I have kids I am proud of, grandkids I adore, friends I cherish, and a husband that tells me every day how gorgeous I am (love might be blind lol, but, hey ho, it's nice to hear anyway....:j).
My a*se has spread as well, but what does it matter?
They all treat me the same as ever, and tell me that I'm a loopy tart (true lol) and I treat life with a laugh, because I could sit and bemoan my lot, as disability is a right pain in the neck, and everywhere else, but it wouldn't help, would it?
You sound very insecure, so perhaps you should learn to love yourself a bit...:)
Li.You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0
