Hi Pinot,
Glad to see you back after the long summer holidays.. hope you enjoyed some time off with your girls and Mr PG of course...!!
I did laugh at the image of your dd sprinting down the road..Well done to her on getting the necessary grades for college. My dd did well and she's now started at her new sixth form at the boys :eek:school.... She's settling in slowly... on top of that she only got herself a part time job.. first interview.. lucky springs to mind.. so tomorrow she starts on the tills at a well known nice supermarket beginning with W... She can't wait to earn some money, not that she ever spends any of her own anyway...!!!!
Is your dd seeking a little job? I understand september is the month to look due to uni students going back.. there certainly seem to be more around at the moment.. jobs I mean not uni students..!!
Well done on the fab signature, and nice to have you back.
Puzz. x
Hey Puzzcat, great ot hear form you.
So glad your DD did so well. Hmmm the Boys school eh ? Bet shes loving that !! I swear I have heard more about the "Pretty boys " at college than I have about the lessons from DD1 !! Its been hilarious !
Great that your DD has a job, she sounds such a good girl. Yes DD1 does need a job desperately . She has been working all through the holidays, but it has been unpaid. It is doing what she loves, and has been asked to photograph various events and music festivals, but sadly all is unpaid, but great for her experience and CV. She is making a great little name for herself locally, but her age is hindering her a little. She wouldnt have had time to fitting any paid work in as well. She needs to get her CV updated and then she plans to try and get some paid work. She did work for us in the holidays as well, we paid her a small amount, but she found it very boring !! I could have told her that years ago
Hope everything is good with you xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

What a day.................... I am exhausted !
Mr PG came home last night, ate his dinner then fell asleep. So much for catching up and filling him in on everything he has missed at home and work wise ! He has gone away again now for another ten days or so,.....so we missed the opportunity !
Work is crazy busy and I am ridiculously behind with the accounts and paperwork. I really could do with someone to help out who could focus solely on that job and get it done and dusted and preferably delivered to the accountants for me. She is jumping up and down for the books and I keep stalling !
Managed to squeeze in a haircut for DD2 today, long overdue. She did forget that she was going though and was supposed to meet me in the hairdressers . I got a call to tell me that she was on her way home, so I had to make her do an about turn and head back from whence she had come ! At least she is nice and tidy looking now, but sadly now she is 13 she had to pay adult prices  . She then jumped on the bus to the stables but I had a frantic phone call as apparently according to her the £2 I had given her for the bus fare was Turkish, so she had to get back off again !! Where on earth I got a Turkish £2 coin from is anyone's guess, the last time I was there was about 16 years ago I think !! She didn't make the stables tonight !
Returning to the car after a meeting today, I discovered that some numpty had reversed into it and driven away. I am livid ! I have taken a look and am hoping Mr PG can T-Cut it out when he is next around but I'm not entirely sure that the bumper wont need respraying. That will be costly so wont end up getting done probably.
DD1 arrived home full of a million college stories and made my head go funny with her chatter ! She had also discovered some of her pictures had been published in regional papers in neighbouring counties. Think we need to have a word as they are being taken from certain websites and used without her knowledge even though they are watermarked and its becoming a regular occurence. Tricky situation really.
DD2 had a leavers meal tonight for a teacher from her stables. Really lovely that they invited her, but its a school night ! I didnt have the heart to say that she couldnt go so I have spent the evening back and forth on lifts again. Its been the same every night this week. I am looking forward to an evening at home. I wouldnt mind if I was off somewhere exciting, but taxi duty is pretty boring as we all know !! She did make me laugh though, it turns out that when she was rummaging in her handbag over dinner she discovered a pair of swimming goggles in the bottom of her bag ! Lord knows when she last used swimming goggles so we have no idea where they came from. As you can imagine , she then chose to wear them over dinner to the hilarity of the other diners and the staff ! Thank goodness I wasn't there as she would have been disowned, although she did come and meet me wearing them ! :rotfl:
So that's my day, well some of it. Having had this break I am going to crack on with these damn accounts . Am half asleep but its gotta be done .
Night all, hope you have had a good day xxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Wish I was nearer, would offer to lick that paperwork into shape for you.
:rotfl: at DD & swim goggles.
DGD1 sat frantically looking for her sun glasses today, even insisting she'd left them in Mr T. Nope, said Granny, you'll have to do without them now or maybe you could use those yellow ones sat prettily on your head :rotfl:

Quick early morning signature update.
National Debt hedging towards £37K, I should have that kicked into touch by the end of the month and be celebrating being in the £36K's :j
Little bit more paid to THEM this morning, so we are now in the £6K's ...just rather than the £7's !! Nothing really to be proud of there, but the numbers are heading slowly in the right direction.
Right must dash have a crazy busy day today xxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Hi Mrs PG
I have so enjoyed (and benefited from) reading your diary thread that I think I am going to start my own....... 'Brogden's Debt Disaster,' unless I can think of a better name :rotfl:!
I cannot say precisely how much I owe at the moment and have been a bit sloppy here so I am going to create a spreadsheet tracking every pound by which the debt decreases and then I can have a proper signature which shows my current state of play and hopefully shows a little progress as I go along. I know that will be good for me
When you started you owed more than me but you are beating me big style at the moment so congratulations you have made such fantastic progress chipping away at the debt mountain. I am sooooo impressed!
I'll invite you over when I've got it started. I hope the weekend is going nicely for you all.
