NoOneAround wrote: »Morning Mrs PG,
Laughing at your getting ready for school dramas.....it's only day 3 of school this week and we are already running 20 mins behind schedule -envy you that they go to school independently - I just end up shouting hurry hurry hurry (or words to that effect) as I am personal chauffeur
Still struggling with abbreviations sometimes - what's a F&F?
sorry feeling silly asking but sounds like an important step in the process............
x. She is a nightmare, ( a lovely one though !) so I chauffeured her everywhere so that I knew she would arrive on time and in the right place ! She has a terrible sense of direction as well !! I am standing firm now that she is at college and refusing to even drive her to the bus stop and am making her do the 20 min walk ! I do track her with my phone though just to make sure that she walks the right way and doesn't get on at the wrong bus stop ! :rotfl::rotfl:
DD2 is fab at getting herself sorted and out of the door, but when they were both at the same school and as DD1 was never ready on time, it was easier for her to travel to school with us rather than me pay fuel and a bus fare. She has been great though since she started back, long may it continue !! She is the opposite and has an amazing sense of direction and seems to have a photographic memory. She is even able to tell me when a speed camera is coming up, I think she has memorised the location of every speed camera in the country. She has been calling out to warn me from the back seat since she was tiny !! :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

In her world if she makes the bus then she is on time. In my world if you leave the house late and catch the bus by the skin of your teeth and aren't properly dressed , then you aren't on time !

Love it!!!!:rotfl:can just picture a toddler screaming "slow down"
DS watches my speedo and tells me off (frequently because from passenger seat angle it always looks as if I'm speeding) - never speed as do eco-driving :T and am a real scare-dy cat when it comes to safety

I would suggest you get the DMP up and running for a while before you even think about F&Fs and give yourself some breathing space.
Please try and get an small emergency fund behind you as well, if possible make some token £1 payments for a while and stash a little away for a rainy day. Apologies if you have already been told to do this. Just something that sprang to mind as I was typing xxx
Just treading water at the moment, saving impossible at the moment so taking all advice possible and cutting back/reviewing/no luxuries/budgeting for the Mo......but emergency fund is vital as I dread any big house/car emergency.....

Oh dear at your DD1 :rotfl: some kids are just so laid back and not bothered! My ds1 has been getting himself up since he started secondary school and gets himself to the bus stop thankfully as i'm not the most organised person and he'd probably be late if he had to rely on me
(which he probably knows come to think of it and that's why he gets himself ready on time lol)
When I offered my F&F's I told the creditors that it was from an inheritance and that was all there was and no more, I was a little shocked they had asked actually so thankfully I did have a valid story or else i'd have probably been caught out and they would have all said no!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Loving the tales of dd1. Only a few months ago she seemed to be in a blue fug and struggling simply to function. Yet now she is full of energy and youthful exuberance! Go dd1!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

You are correct of course apple. We have been so worried about her. It seemed that the minute she left school things improved. She has had the time of her life this summer. Been involved in some great things, her photography has also captured quite alot of interest as well. Lots of good things to make her smile. The relief to know that she had made it to college given everything as well was the absolute icing on the cake for her !
She is loving every minute of college so far and is back to her lovely smiley, chatty self ! Thank goodness !!
Her morning antics, although infuriating are also pretty funny, I cant stay annoyed at her for long. We have no stories this morning though as she has two free periods. I have a meeting not far from the college so have offered to drop her in. She is going to work on a website for herself promoting her photography. Well that's the plan anyway, but I wont be holding my breath, something tells me she will use that time to spend even longer getting herself ready to leave the house !!!
