  • Just back from dropping DD2 at a party and its just DD1 and I tonight !

She had her first day at college today ( yes, she got her grades, after the toughest year of her little life, and we are soooooooo proud of her :T:T:T ) I must confess to bursting into tears when we got the results ! It was such a relief, I was a sniveling wreck ! :o

To celebrate she wants to watch "Indie Movies " tonight ! ie 80s Movies, St Elmos Fire, The Breakfast Club etc, so I am not doing my update tonight. Instead I am pouring a glass of PG and we are going to snuggle up on the sofa, I will reminisce and she will think she is really cool and trendy watching the " Indie Movies " her and her friends are so desperate to watch !! :rotfl::rotfl:

  • Lovely to hear from you all.:D

I haven't quite managed to post everyday but will do my best to post as and when.

The good news debtwise while I have been AWOL is that we finally managed to clear all of the arrears we built up last year when things weren't going so well. Its a huge relief, as to be having to try and deal with them as well as pay the predators, tax etc and keep our head above water was tough going, plus we have had a fair mount of expense with the girls. I am hoping now that we can start afresh from September and breathe a little, before I start panicking about Christmas that is ! :D

The Signature is looking ok, not as good as I would like. A big fat ZERO next to how much we still owe to THEM would be just perfect, but its not to be. I'm not sure how we are going to tackle this one, as it needs to be gone by the end of October as the next bill is due and it should be paid in full. Well thats not going to happen that's for sure, but I need some sort of an action plan. Thats not for today though, too many other things to sort.

DD1 starting her third day of college today. Yesterday was her first proper day and she loved every minute. Met loads of interesting new people and is having a great time. Shes not too keen on getting out of bed early, but thats no shocker really :p. I am waiting with baited breath as I type to se if she makes it out of the door on time for her bus this morning. She has 9mins before she needs to leave and there is no sign of her, her hair is wet and I know she hasnt eaten breakfast..............

DD2 on the other hand is running ahead of schedule and has taken to walking to school with her friend. Shes up and about bright and early and heads out looking gorgeous each morning. the friend is a boy :eek: could that be why ?!!! She is spending loads of time at the stables and has worked out that if she pays £2 to get the school bus in the afternoons it stops right outside the stables , meaning I only need to collect her in the evening, which saves me time and fuel . Sounds perfect to me as the to-ing and fro-ing was becoming a bit of a drain on resources over the holidays.

Off now to jolly DD1 along or the bus will go without her........

She made the bus Granny ! Left ten minutes late, wet hair flying behind her, shoes undone and went rushing off down the road. The trouble is she has since complained of blisters on her feet from her shoes slipping on and off while she ran !! As I reminded her thats no-ones fault but her own , had she had time to do them up they wouldnt have slipped and rubbed , and she wouldn't have had blisters ! It will be interesting to see what tomorrow morning brings !! :rotfl:

  • Thankyou Caz and Mrs B. The signature is looking fab, but not fab enough. I need another plan .

Have still not offered any F&F's, we have put money aside on many occasions but then we have needed to use it when we haven't been paid and its disappeared.

Seeing how Granny is doing has made me consider it again, but all of our accounts which have been passed to DCA's are currently on hold, so I dont want to remind them we exist at the moment by offering F&Fs. I am keeping very quiet and hiding where they are concerned ! :o

The three other accounts are still with the original predator. I wish they would pass them on to be honest as I will get a better deal (once we save some money up again ) with a DCA on an F&F than the original predator. I am hoping they will get fed up with us soon !!

In them meantime we will plod way, still selling bits and bobs on ebay but I haven't been throwing that at the debt I must admit. We have used it to try and live a little and have some fun !! xx

Right back to work for me, lovely new contract in t e pipeline, but they are dragging their heels with a start date. xx

    Hi Pinot,
Glad to see you back after the long summer holidays.. hope you enjoyed some time off with your girls and Mr PG of course...!!

I did laugh at the image of your dd sprinting down the road..Well done to her on getting the necessary grades for college. My dd did well and she's now started at her new sixth form at the boys :eek:school.... She's settling in slowly... on top of that she only got herself a part time job.. first interview.. lucky springs to mind.. so tomorrow she starts on the tills at a well known nice supermarket beginning with W... She can't wait to earn some money, not that she ever spends any of her own anyway...!!!!

Is your dd seeking a little job? I understand september is the month to look due to uni students going back.. there certainly seem to be more around at the moment.. jobs I mean not uni students..!!

Well done on the fab signature, and nice to have you back.

Glad she made it but :rotfl: at the not having time to even do her shoes up.

The predator that agreed the F&F at 22% was the original not a DCA, although the account was defaulted just over 3 years ago. Its worth a try when you have the money. I'm still waiting for news from the others, nothing in the mail today, but still keeping positive that the others will go the same way.
