Oh Mrs PG, how I worry about you. Please take care of you as well as your lovely family. You already do so much, taking on more is more than likely going to cause some sort of breakdown and lead to your being unable to do what is most important.

Coffee will give you a lift initially but will then cause a slump as it dehydrates your body. I hope instead of bathroom cleaning, you listened to what your body was telling you and went for a lie down.

I hope things carry on the way they were this weekend, minus the not sleeping, as your weekend sounded like just what you could have hoped for

  • :o I must confess I did clean the bathrooms yesterday, but they do look lovely and shiny now ! :D

After that was done I went back to work, hit the supermarket a little later, cooked , tidied up, homework jollied. cleaned DD2s shoes as I have given up waiting for her to do it, then done another hours work in the evening. Mr PG arrived home about 9pm so I then sorted his dinner. After doing a few bits and bobs and sorting the never ending washing pile , the girls needed help with some things, I finally fell into bed about 11pm and for once I crashed out completely.:) I didn't even hear Mr PGs 4am alarm whereas usually I am awake for ages listening out for it to go off. I only just remember him leaving for work vaguely.

I have woken this morning feeling much better and decided before work to try and get back to the gym , so I have managed a quick gentle hour there and am feeling pleased with myself. We had only started going last May as I was finally given the go ahead to exercise, but again it all stopped in August with everything else that was going on. They cancelled our membership for us, but I began noticing my back problems again soon after we stopped going and have ended back on some of the tablets and I dont want to be dependant on them. So today was my first day back.

thankyou for your messages yesterday, please don't worry I will be fine, just need to pull myself together and give myself a kick up the backside. :o

Have a day full of meetings ahead, so must get going . What joy ! xx

If you enjoy the gym it will do more than help your back. It will work off some stress and lift your spirits too. Glad you slept better, things are generally not so bad after some decent sleep.

  • Piq and Baldy Bear, I think you are right. I was only in the gym for an hour and I felt much better in myself after going.

I need to try and find a chance to go regularly now x

Agreed. Not only will the gym help your back but it will de-stress you and give you some much needed 'me time'. And the physical exertion will hopefully make you sleep better too. Time and money well spent x

  • Well yesterday was a crazy but productive day.

We have managed to secure another months worth of work, so we are good to go until the end of March, we have a contract beginning in June, so we just need to fill April and May and we will be able to relax a little.

Sadly we had to turn down an awful lot of work in the last couple of days as well which is always a sickening feeling. We were offered two lovely contracts one for three months and one for six months, the trouble was they were immediate start, next Monday to be exact and sadly as the diary is already full we were unable to accept them. The six month one would have worked nicely as it would have coincided with the Project in June, but I shouldn't complain. We have work, which as I have said before, for the beginning of the year is a rarity. I just hate turning business away.:(

On the money front, we paid £330.00 to THEM which was the remainder of our agreed payments for December . I have made a £90 payment towards Januarys payment, but I am hoping to make an overpayment this month . The more of those I can make the less chance of us having to still make the £7000 lump sum payment in November, the thought of which fills me with dread, besides the fact I have no idea where we would find the £7K from !.

We were paid for two invoices, but the other didn't arrive. I will chase that one up shortly as there was no time yesterday.

Finally made it home at 9.45 last night and for once Mr PG beat me home ! Dinner was leftovers, although my grand plans for a Leftover Buffet went to pot when the girls came in from school and raided the fridge looking for food. They then confessed that they had eaten the Leftover Meal which was to be the Piece De Resistance of the Leftovers Buffet Spread at 4pm !! We managed to eek out the food as I was not in the mood for cooking at that time and the girls were in and out from 4 until 9 with various rehearsals for things,so had apparently picked at a variety of things from 4 oclock onwards . Tonight I will feed everyone properly ! :o

We had a lovely surprise when DD1s singing teacher forwarded a recording of her singing a new song that she had worked on in december. She was feeling grotty the day it was recorded and we werent expecting it to be great, but we were really pleased and I have been playing it at ever opportunity and singing along ever since. Last night hey were both asked to perform at a show at the end of January so we now have frantic practicing going on in the house. ITs never quiet here, thats for sure !!

DD1 had her Mock results assembly . They went well, am hoping for an improvement for the real thing, but given all of the circumstances of late we are proud as punch of her. She did tell me that alot of the children received U's, F's and G's which doesnt bode well. Thankfully she didnt get any of those, but I would be jumping up and down if I was the parents. Had a few issues with the Science dept who seem to have forgotten for the fourth time that she missed her Controlled Assesments when she was signed off of school and they still havent put a date in place for that to be finished cue a snotty email to the headmaster and head of science last night. DD1 has gone to after school GCSE Revision sessions after school each evening this week so far to find that the classrooms are empty and the teachers have gone home. She has been told that the Maths class for tonight isnt on either. The school is improving, but this new headmaster sure has his work cut out, although DD2 seems to be thriving but sadly its a little late for DD1.

As for today, work is looking busy. I have a hospital appointment later on and parents evening tonight, so another busy one is scheduled.

Hope you all have a lovely day xxxx

I understand what you're saying. But I'm sure you'd rather you be able to complete the jobs you do accept to your high standards. You wouldn't want to have to go back to a client and say you couldn't meet a deadline.

Glad things are looking better. All the best.

If the contract which is due to start Monday can't be done by another supplier, will they come back to you with a later start date? Did you suggest that? Worth a try, perhaps.
