Thankyou ! Happy New Year again to you all !!
We had a lovely evening, partying with friends until 4am. Suffered for it yesterday though , totally exhausted. The girls and DD1s boyfriend were with us, which was lovely, as last year DD1 went elsewhere and I hated her not being with us at midnight. I need to get a grip, shes a big girl now !!
I am already feeling in full on Money Mode and have written a nice long list of things to tackle including getting our budget back on track and finally sorting some food deliveries to stop me overspending on the food each week. I also intend to get to grips with YNAB. We downloaded the free trial last Spring but didn't even log onto it what with one thing and another going on.
We have sold something on Bay of E for a nice sum of money, so that will be stashed away in our Magic Drawer for a rainy day. We have loads more to list gradually, but I am assuming January will be pretty slow on the selling front, but I am desperate to declutter the house and I'm not sure I want to wait until February before I begin.
New Years Resolutions, other than continuing to tackle the National Debt, is to eat and drink less. The stress of the last few months has led me to put weight on, which I'm not happy about as I have never had to worry about that before, so its all a bit new. Not sure I will be a very good dieter, I have zero willpower. I am hoping if I lay off of the Jam doughnuts I eat whilst on the run and stop drinking the vino of an evening, the weight might disappear as quickly as it arrived !! I can but hope. Also planning on trying to find time to head back to the Gym and begin Pilates again for my back, have a massive declutter of the entire house, be bang up to speed on all aspects of work including the paperwork, get mum and dads house cleared and up for sale and read the thousands of books I never seem to have time even open ! Think thats enough to be going on with or I will have Resolution overload.
Oh and re the Court Saga, no Witness statement has arrived from them , deadline was the 24th December, so fingers crossed assuming the hearing goes ahead that will put us at an advantage !
Thats my update done for now, off to grout DD2s bathroom floor ! Whoopee !! Hope you are all having a lovely day xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Know what you mean about getting all enthusiastic about decluttering and keeping to budgets...I had the girls clearing out stuff for the CS and to sell (fear there will be much more going to the former than onto Bay of E..I think I have already sold all the good stuff!
) - there was some bad grace but they did it eventually.
Well done on the sale. Good to have a Rainy Day fund...I blitzed mine for the tax bill...but at least it was there to use I guess, thats one (amongst many!) good thing to come from this site I think.
Gym sounds good..I can just never justify the fee as I don't go regularly enough. I am going to get OH to teach me some exercises for my core though, one of my many NY resolutions..he does them regularly and reckons it has made a big difference. Cheaper than the gym and more chance of me doing them if I don't have to leave the house! I may also do some more HIIT sessions from tinternet.. there were some good Sw3aty B3tty ones that a friend put me onto last year... did them for oh about a fortnight and then fell into a stupor. I do also know what you mean about weight gain not being an issue before, but now it is...I am in that camp also lovely lady and I am not sure I like it. Never been on a diet and would prefer to keep it that way so Dry Jan should help a good deal as reckon thats where most of the additional mass has come from
Have a good eve grouting
