I still love kicking piles of crispy dry leaves even though I'm in my forties. I'll go out of my way to do it. It is so satisfying. OH pretends he's not with me though :D.

Me too Dolphin, I love that rustling sound, also love sound of waves swishing on the beach :-)

  • The days of gluing and sticking are never over Mrs PG! At nearly twenty, she still does it! She also colours (she recently bought a couple of those adult meditative colouring books). Leaves are very therapeutic... :) when they were toddlers we spent hours in the garden raking, then running through them in wellies rustling them, collecting them, making collages etc.
DD has a notebook she sticks pictures she like in, and collects quotes in (very useful as a English lit student) :-)

    Happy Leafing :-)
    xx

DD2 is quote crazy ! She has a little notebook she carries everywhere and writes them down in her book when she sees them !

I have one of those colouring books, as do the girls. I also brought them tiny pocket size ones that they take to school and college and hide in the corner and colour when things get a bit intense. I think they are fantastic !

Hope you are keeping well, I havent had time to drop in on you for a long time now. Sorry xxx

Ooh I do that too Dolphin !! I love squelching through the mud as well:o. Mr PG hates that, the girls and I think he has a Mud Phobia ! I always encouraged the girls to get messy and muddy when they were little, DD2 still does at every given opportunity and Mr PG found it very very stressful. Quite sad really, it transpires that he was never allowed to get dirty or messy as little boy and therefore thought I was absolutely crazy positively encouraging it ! x

Please don't apologise Mrs PG - I think you have more than your fair share of stresses! All' s well as predators are quiet!
DD's latest source of quotes is hilarious - she bought a book of Shakespeare insults for all occasions and we have been practising them....keeps the language clean and literary! ;-)

:rotfl::rotfl:Oh wow No-one, what is it called? I am convinced DD2 would love that, actually DD1 might as well, she is currently cramming for her A2 English Lit .

Glad you are ok and the Predators are nice and quiet, I will try and pop in as soon as I can ! x

"Out of my sight! Thou dost infect my eyes." (Better than saying Bug* off ;)
" You are not worth another word" (better than ranting at over use of IT) ROTFL
" Get thee to a nunnery" - haven't used that one yet! Big Grin.
There are several books but DD has a mini pocket one bought when we went to Warwick a couple of months ago - only 3.99 and a great stocking filler .................
its called "The Bard's Guide to abuses and affronts"
    isbn 978-0-7624-5386-3

Oh that sounds Fab ! I think I might just treat myself to one to carry around in my bag , I could really have done with it these past couple of words instead of the usual mutterings that keep on accidentally popping out of my mouth :o

" Get thee to the nunnery " :rotfl::rotfl:Love it !!!

Rustling through leaves, colouring in and literary insults - the things I learn other people do that I've been doing secretly and furtively for years from Debt Free Diaries. Fabulous!

My favourite Shakey quote: 'Exit followed by a bear' but it's not an insult, obviously. Only valid when OH is in a snit with me, basically, and leaves the room.
    Better is good enough.
