Thankyou everyone for your lovely messages.
As usual I am in a bit of a rush but just wanted to drop by quickly to say that we are all doing ok. The funeral has been and gone, all things considered it actually went really well and I honestly do believe that she would have been pleased. There were a few people there that I hadn't seen since dads funeral and I struggled with that. His close friends reminded me so much of him, and although it was lovely to see them, I found it really really hard. I am determined to make sure that each and everyone of them will be ok and keep in regular contact with them. Mr PG thinks I shouldn't be worrying about them right now and just give myself a breather, but Im not good at keeping still and "breathing', so I am still rushing about like a crazy lady and checking up on everyone else to make sure they are all ok. Some of their friends are quite poorly now, so I need to make sure that they are looked after. The girls were great on the day and held up well , Mr PG and I were so proud. They interacted with people they barely knew and circulated the room afterwards making conversation. I , on the other hand (as some of you already know ) managed to get myself well and truly spandangled ( thankfully it was at the end of the day when it was only close family ) I think it was a combination of exhaustion and obviously far too much PG and I was in a bit of a pickle to say the least. The girls thought it would be hilarious to video my antics all the way home and play them to me the next day . I then discovered a rather unattractive photo of me was doing the rounds in the family, that they had sneakily taken whilst I was rocking the "sunglasses in bed look " the following morning, much to everyones amusement. Not sure I will ever live this one down !! My Mum always liked a glass of Vino, so I think she would have been proud rather than angry !!:o
All things considered I think we are doing ok. I am sure I have lots of news and burbles for you all, but right now I need to get this work finished and then I am heading to Mum and Dads house to do a bit of clearing. I am just doing a little at a time, which is making it easier.

I loved this! Good on you, Mrs PG. My brothers were convinced my mother needed a dignified send off, so they wouldn't let me have The Archers theme tune as the retiring music which I thought was a great pity - she would have loved it and her friends roared with laughter when I told them it was what I'd wanted. I think we should all be allowed to blow off steam at the end of a very emotionally controlled day.
Be kind to yourself while you're dealing with your parents' stuff, that task can be a bit of a steamroller emotionally. Have a (((hug))) to keep you going.Better is good enough.0 -

I'm here Mrs B, totally and utterly shattered, but still here to tell the tale !!
It appears I had managed to convince myself that things would calm down and life take on some normality, but that's not to be just yet. Mr PG thinks I was jumping the gun way to much there.
Half Term has been nutty, combination of a 17 hour round trip to look at a uni, taxiing to parties I think nearly every night, flying around for work during the day and driving back and forth in between that to collect Mr PG at all hours from jobs as he had no car. That job finished at 1am this morning, so he is now working away again Monday to Friday and we have picked up a little car from the auctions for him, so one less person to chauffeur around this week !
Today I am at the point where I am refusing to set foot in the car today for anyone , well I was until I realised that I need to take DD2 to the stables early evening !!
But all in all I'm doing ok, look about 90 :rotfl:
How is everyone ? Sorry if I haven't replied properly to your messages above, wasn't intentional, it really is lovely to hear from you all .
Must dash now, hoping for a quieter working day and I need to write our Witness Statement for this damn Court Case !! Whoopee !!LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
