OMG.. not feeding the kids! Are they stark raving bonkers??!!

Sorry re Small Claims...beefing up the defence is no bad thing, but the judge should be helpful to you - you are a litigant in person and anyway the SCC is meant to be partly about enduring equality in the eyes of the law..in theory anyway..

    Fingers and toes crossed xx

IT appears that all of the other parents ( the "old timers" whos children had done this before) were aware that the children weren't getting a dinner, so thankfully someone delivered a Spag Bol on the first night and fish and chips on the second night. I somehow managed to miss out on all of this information and was unde the impression a bbq was provided each night and the children ate in the cafe during the day paid for by us. I got the lunchtime bit right just messed up breakfast and dinner. But she survived !!

Went to collect her yesterday afternoon, she stunk to high heaven, was totally exhausted but covered in rosettes, medals and a trophy. She was on a total high and no doubt still will be when she finally wakes up today whatever time that may be !!

Keeping everything crossed re the Court Claim. Could do without the hassle right now if Im honest, but it is what it is and I just need to beef up the defence but my head isnt in the right place to do so just now.Think I will tackle that at the weekend.

I seriously need to get a handle on our budget as well. Downloaded the YNAB free trial then forgot that I had done it and haven't even glanced at it :o. Think September will have to be my get back on the money band wagon month and get back in control as we have had an enormous amount of over expenditure , although alot of it has been unexpected bills.

Definitely need a kick up the backside though .

Off to pay some more money to THEM this morning, but there is still a very long way to go with that bill :( . xx

    Hi Mrs P.G. :)

You mentioned PRAT had offered you a partial final settlement. Have you thought it might be worth dividing that by two and going back to them?

I had only one very small debt that I thought had 'gone' but it came back. :( Whilst I haven't wanted to go near my credit file for a couple of years I thought I ought to start bringing closure to a few irritating debts which are no doubt making my file look worse than it needs to be. I thought that if the file shows I screwed up big style but have attended to all of the predators, even if that means showing 'partial settlement' that must be an improvement and shows at least some responsibility on my part?

There's a lot of talk about 'unenforcable' on the forum but I can't quite form an opinion on this :o. Whilst I would give an unenforcable debt the lowest priority, I think I would like to see it attended to (with preferably a mammoth concession from the noble predator :rotfl: !!!!!)

Whichever way it goes dear Pinot you will shortly be able to draw a line under this and I somehow think you will be happier for that :D !!

    All the best with it.....I know.....it's painful :( !

    Hi Brogden,

Yes , we think that's the way we will go with regards to a smaller settlement and we have accepted mediation through the courts. I am probably more inclined than Mr PG to take a settlement, I think he wants to fight it but ultimately we have alot of other things ogign on right t now, so he will probably agree to which ever route is less stressful. Well I hope he does anyway ! ;)

I have very mixed opinions as well about the "Unenforceable Debts" . Its a tricky one , as my head tells me that "I ran up the debt, I therefore owe the debt." I have though , paid the debt ten times over and then some in interest already. On the other side of the coin, if the Predator cant provide me with the documentation to tell me that it really is them I owe and they are missing all sorts of documentation , my feisty head says that we need to fight them ! It depends what head I am wearing on what day as to my views !! Makes me sound like a total nutter doesn't it ?! :rotfl:

The Court Claim is actually in Mr PGs name, so we both need to sit down and come up with a plan, not so easy when he is away and Im not sure when we will see each other next.Messages aren't getting through to him very easy right now and when I can talk he cant and vice versa, so communication isn't easily forthcoming between us at the moment !!

We will get it sorted one way or the other no doubt xx

No it doesn't make you sound like a nutter! :D I am exactly the same so if you are a nutter then so am I.......perhaps we will be taken off together in the yellow van :rotfl:!!

I think I am saying I want a line drawn under it and the box ticked, as my boss (ex-boss) would like. ;) I'm not anymore trying to consider anything to be unenforcable but I am being extremely cheeky and want to be let off the hook at the absolute lowest price. Basically I am a complete cheapskate :rotfl:!!! You run into people like me arguing at car boot sales  !!

If they can't come up with the paperwork, how can anyone tell what is actually owed? Like you, Pinot, I believe in paying my debts (over years ago, thank goodness, but it worried me terribly at the time), but with interest rates at rock bottom and various creditors loading them right up, if you've covered the origianl sum and then some, I honestly think that you're being 'milked' if you see what I mean. Anyone who's read your diary knows how seriously both you and Mr PG take the position you're in, so good luck with the battle.
    Better is good enough.

Yep I totally agree Honey Bear. They refer to page two of certain documents but we haven't been sent a page 2, they have typed a mock up of Notice of Assignment but forgotten to date it, we have never set eyes on a default notice and refer to various points ( ie point number 4) in the Terms and conditions yet have failed to provide us with those. We will see how we get on. We have alot of personal bits going on just now and have asked them for some leniency and to delay the Court Mediation and / or the Hearing whilst we get ourselves together but we are still waiting to see if they agree.
