Just logged on to update the signature, which seems to be all I have time for lately. I took a sneaky look at Mrs B's diary for the first time in forever and then thought I should probably look at my own and have just seen all of your lovely messages !

For the first time in months, I have a few mins to myself, Mr PG is at work, DD1 working at a local music festival and has managed to blag DD2 a free ticket. They are literally five minutes away in the car and we have allowed DD2 to go on the basis she is only allowed whilst it is day light, and as soon as the sun goes down she is being collected. If not she will turn into a pumpkin and be stranded in the field forever !! Shes only 14 and seems far too young, but there are loads of people there that she knows and DD1 is incredibly protective so I am calm in the fact she will be fine !

So....what to do with myself with my rare time alone ? For my sins I decided to empty the contents of DD2s wardrobe which is a long overdue job and she has grown so so much these last few months barely anything fits. You know when you wish you hadn't started a job ?!! Well this is one of those, so I decided to pour myself a glass of PG even though it is a bit early and grab a bag of frazzles for a breather !! have been off food recently for varying reasons but had a sudden fancy for some crisps . I did however get distracted by the office, so have just done a bit of work instead, decided to update the signature and this is where I ended up ! In the meantime DD2s room is a tip so I now need to motivate myself to get back in there and tidy up before she comes home !!

In money type news, things have been great since mid June and look set to continue for now at least. We have loads of work hopefully through until Christmas, so we should begin to get back on track relatively shorty and begin to hit the bill to THEM which we have been unable to do until now. We have until October to clear what currently stands at £11K :eek: We can but try !!

Have had a few set backs. Mr PG has had yet another car accident. Third in a year, none of which were his fault but each increasingly causing us problems. This time though his car has been written off, the two cars that hit him both drove off leaving him like a sitting duck in the fast lane of the M25 ! It could have been far far worse. we have no time just now to look for another vehicle, it needs to be able to withstand five hours of travel to and from work each day, so we are currently hiring which sounds like false economy but is working right now as we still have all the other bleurgh stuff going on that I mentioned before and we cant really think straight just now to be worrying about replacing cars.

But in amongst all of this the National Debt is going down, the Court Notice that we received from a predator a few months ago, which I cant remember if I mentioned, we have managed to get put on hold for an additional month, as they cannot provide the necessary paperwork. Its been a time consuming process but we aren't about to sit back and let them beat us yet. :)

So, this is my quick snap shot into our world as it is right now, we are still hanging on in there by the seat of our pants......just !!

How are you all ? I hope everyone is well xxx

    Hi Mrs PG,
Great to hear your update. So glad that Mr PG is Ok - the accident must have been really scary. At the end of the day the important thing is that he is Ok, all the other knock-on issues can be dealt with in time, however inconvenient.

I really feel for you with DD1 about to embark on her new journey at uni - I was a mess when my DD left home last year, it took several months for me to adjust, but it's lovely o see them grow and become more and more independent. Like your DD 2 my Ds is just starting his GCSE's too and I know it just be a blink of an eye and he'll be off to - am not looking forward to that.

Also great to hear that you have enough work till Christmas, and sincerely hope things will be much more settled for you than they have been.

Thanks NoOne, Mr PG has some injuries but nothing that's stopping him working nd that cant be fixed ! Phew !!

DD1 is still a little undecided if Uni is for her although I think she is now edging closer to going than not. We have recently completed Uni visit number four which has now jumped to the top of the potential list. WE sadly missed a few Open Days that she wanted to go to, so we will have to wait until Sep / Oct for those. The new "top of the list Uni" although not close by, is also not hours and hours away either and easily accessible from us by train, so it seemed like a good place to be. The other top choice is a good 6/7 hours away

GCSE subjects have all begun for DD2, they start in the May before they officially move up to Year 10 here which means there has been no let up in school work, homework and constant tests and assessments. DD2 is loving her new subjects but wishes that with less than a week to go the pressure had decreased a little. They also now give the children loads and loads of homework for during the Summer which I wish they didnt. I think they need a chance to relax and instead last year we were planning things around when and how they could get homework done and it was constantly on my mind that it need to be fitted in over the Summer Hols. Thats probably me just being a stress head though !

How has your DD found her first year at Uni ? xx

Boring update for a dreary Tuesday morning is that we have paid a further £200 to THEM this morning . Not made much of a dent but its something !

DD1 sleeping soundly after camping all weekend at the festival. After a glorious weekend she got totally rained out yesterday and she has kindly decorated the house with her soggy clothing , tent and bed in an effort to dry it all out. Just discovered a camping bed in the bathroom this morning , along with the tent in the bath !!

Horrible for both you and Mr PG that there's been another prang; I know you said you wouldn't know what to do with yourself if life were dull but I think you're taking the Chinese curse, 'May you live in interesting times' to the extreme.

Well done on paying THEM a chunk.
    Better is good enough.
