    Can you not use last years xmas doormat? Buying a new doormat for 12 days of the year sounds quite ridiculous to me... Although I can appreciate the festiveness.

    Loving the elf on the shelf idea :)

    :rotfl::rotfl:No !! Its tradition !!

    In all fairness it goes down on the 1st December and there its stays until its mouldy and faded, so we often have Reindeers and Christmas Cheer all year round or at least until the summer !! Last years was plonked in the bin in about June if I remember rightly xxx:rudolf:

  • Bit late now to add my tuppence on the bank situation I think ? But if you do read this before going then this is my thoughts....DS1 wanted a debit card too so we went into town and for some reason he really wanted a B@rclays one, I almost didn't go in and sent DH instead ;) but glad I did as I had nothing to worry about as I signed a form and that was that no checking on my history (thank Gawd as our biggest debt was with them for over half of everything we owed :o !) So don't even worry about it, nothing will happen and your DD should be fine for the bank account and card :) . I also had to "disassociate" myself from someone in my family with the same initials as me and my hubby has had to do the same as well as his brother had the same initials as him (and a shed load of debt) after that we were fine for credit (unfortunately which then lead to all the debt ;) ) is that what your ex had to do?

    Have a lovely time getting festive this weekend :D

  • Severe flood warnings in place here this evening. The school has been opened as an evacuation centre but it's a pretty long swim from where I am !

    In preparation , the girls, the Wine, the Baileys , Xmas Choccies and Weetabix have all been moved to higher ground . High tide in about and hour. In the meantime we will sit and wait ....................... Xxx
