  • Riverford do a mini veg box and fruit bag too - which is great - and lasts me and my OH for a week, and definitely worth every penny.

they also CARE about the environment and their customer service

and Riverford have an offer for new customers at the moment - a free Riverford cookbook worth £16 when you try a box..

Please, feel free to re-post or post wherever you like - the more the merrier! I'm really new to this malarky - and self-employed so don't have much free time..

I'm foolishly giddy at the thought of what I will get in my box tomorrow :D

  • Are these boxes worth it then? I'm away with my family over Christmas (free food and board :D) but in the new year one of my resolutions is to eat healthier and buy organic. I love the idea, and as we don't have a car we do a fortnightly shop online so it wouldn't be new to us, but £10 even for the smallest box seems a bit steep? I know it's better for the planet but do they taste better?

I really value the taste and the quality of the food in the boxes and I am comfortable paying a bit extra for that. The only thing I sometimes struggle with is knowing what to do with the contents :o

I use Abel and Cole because I can register dislikes, or skip something if I don't fancy it (or still have it left over from previous week)
There are 3 of us, vegetarian, and we end up with about 3 boxes a month. I skip a box sometimes and do a cheaper top up from the farm shop if I only need a few things.

Great quality, and good service. I will post contents tomorrow when it arrives.
    Debt free and saving :j
