Come on guys, play nice.
The op is clearly upset,
We don't always have to agree with other peoples decisions but we should try and respect/accept them
Mocking, taunting and winding up posts are unlikely to help the OP or resolve the issues. Could I propose that if we have nothing nice to say we unsubscribe from this thread and leave the OP in peace? Please0 -
No, there's a good 5+ pages to go yet before this gets closed. Then give it a week and another one will be started.
The OP is using these threads as a form of therapy, it's not about dogs or chickens or anything like that, it's about mourning a loss and rather than moving forward, that loss is tearing her up inside. To compensate, she is trying to find an answer that will cure the pain, and thinks that by reliving the experience with us, with insurers, next will be with solicitors, then in a court, that somehow it will make her feel better.
There is nothing any of us can say or do that will bring the dog or chickens back.
There is nothing any of us can say or do that will make the OP better, because part of the problem is that she doesn't want to feel better.
The help she requires cannot be found on an Internet forum, nor in a vet's practice, nor a solicitors, nor a court.
As such, all efforts (ours, hers, and others) are futile. They will not fix or cure the problem.
If you do not like it why read it let alone comment on it.
Many of us sympathise with the Poster!0 -

I'm not sure whether I am one of the "guys" you were aiming this at - but my comment was not meant in any nasty way.
The OP is not going to get the help she requires on a forum (she needs legal advice).
I'm not a medical person, but I would be worried about someone who obviously has sleep problems (unless she has a reason to be up in the early hours) and her inability to let go even after a year after the loss of her pet. So as I said before -JazzyGirl's advice is the best advice I've seen on this thread.0 -
So many complaints about this thread!!!!!!

Actually, it wasn't a complaint about the thread, or about the poster. It is probably more sympathetic than other posts, try to read it with less cynical eyes.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -

Because this is an open forum and anyone is free to reply. Apparently that's the rules on MSE.0 -

I would like to say something.,firstly I did not intended to use this forum as a therapy. My dog died on 14/12/12 I have never posted about what had happened to my Maxie on this forum until October 2013, that was after the system( RCVS) had failed me. That is when I have asked for the opinion of others. This is now about standing up to professionals who think nothing can touch them as I have found out by making a complaint to RCVS and it was dismissed as they always cover for their own. I have decided to prove them wrong no matter how much it will cost. Still waiting for their reply the letter was written to the DC chairman. What the insurers are going to do?? Whatever, I am happy to go to court0 -
I have decided to prove them wrong no matter how much it will cost.
But what if you, your forensic vet, your solicitor, your supporters and any others are unable to PROVE them wrong?
The emotional cost to you since October 2013 has been very high, it will only get higher. The financial cost, well I don't know how much you will end up spending in your effort, but I'm sure you've thought that one through. You may not have started the first thread as a form of therapy, but that is what it has become. You've received a lot of useful advice on here, some of which you rejected out of hand, some of which you have embraced, all of it has been offered free of charge1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

What if we can?0 -
I have received good advice on this forum, and it has been good to know how other people feel but they have not been in this situation before nor have I. I was shocked how littlle/nothing one can do about negligence so what I am doing is it fighting the system. If I get nowhere at least I will rattle "their cage "0

The thing is hachette by your own professed standards you have failed to take adequate care of animals under your care, and yet you want to stick in a claim....perverse or what?0
