Well I'm currently sitting in the bar of a hotel south of Hurgarda. No problems here. In fact I've been more concerned walking around the east end of London to walking around here.

The people here are warm and welcoming and could certainly do with our business.

Glad the FO changed the warning.

Some great bargains in Egypt at the moment. Do come!

We got a great bargain for Christmas. Five Star - All Inclusive, what's not to like?
  • Was in Sharm last month and had NO issues, was out and about at all hours aswell.
  • I went on a Topdeck tour of Egypt in October and the country was safe. There were hardly any tourists at all the sites we went to. It's a shame because the country depends on tourism. I would encourage people to go.
  • " Although security is tight throughout the country, especially in resort areas, there remains a high risk of attacks which could be indiscriminate, including in public places frequented by foreigners. "

Enjoy your pina coladas ! :D

I'm currently looking at holidays for Jan for the family, would love to goto sharm, but my conscious won't allow it. This military dictatorship overthrew the first democratically elected leader after decades of dictatorship. It then set about gunning down in cold bl**d unarmed protestors while they prayed! - you only have to look at the behaviour of the two sides to see who is wrong.

So you'll be moving out of the UK, never going to the US and avoiding much of Asia too?
