Tried the new "Tortoise Ultra" branded moto g flip cover case from that popular supermarket - neat fit, magnet turns screen on/off with opening, but magnet seems not strong enough to even try to hold lid closed (says in blurb it should)!!!either faulty or poor design...anyone else the same experience??:mad:0

Edit: I read you can USB extra storage too but for £30 I went for the bigger option.
Still waiting for the 16GB to come back in stock but could you tell me more about how to expand storage using USB? Storage is a big issue for me...DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0 -

I just bought a 16gb micro flash drive (because I really don't need anything bigger though there is the 32gb and a USB 2.0 to Micro connector to plug straight into the phone (I don't want any long cables or extra bulk), which I understand should work fine.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0

Although on that Meenova page I read this
(of course thats a function of the phone, not Meenova so applies to all external memory via USB )
"* Note on Moto G: read-only access; root is required to write to USB storage."
Not a problem if just using as extra music or video capacity which you pre-load from the PC - but might be important for some0 -

Will be interesting to try it when it turns up how the Moto G has been restricted some how?
Out of curiosity I just plugged a USB stick into my unrooted Samsung Note 2 running Kitkat (4.3) via an OTG cable and was able to read and write to it no problem.0 -

Which cable did you order, be sure the USB 2.0 end is female to plug the drive into not male. USB female to micro male are often called OTG (on-the-go) cables.
