  • The £2 unlock code worked a treat, just waiting for OVIVO micro sim to arrive, then using PAC code, hoping its straight forward.

Do I do migration first ie before using new sim or whats best way to ensure it works smoothly?

Do it whenever you want, makes no difference.

I have just placed an order for a 16GB SIM Free one on Amazon for £118.75. Its speculative as they are:

"Temporarily out of stock. Order now and we'll deliver when available. We'll e-mail you with an estimated delivery date as soon as we have more information. Your credit card will not be charged until we ship the item."

Currently but nothing lost and if it comes in at that price will be chuffed, especially as I had £60 of Amazon credit from Topcashback so effectively £60 for me!

Will update if I get a delivery estimate... if 6 months or something I will just cancel.

    EDIT:

Just gone back to £159.99 as before. I had one in my shopping basket a couple of days and this morning happened to look in and it was at £118. Amazon are so weird!

    Yay result! :T:T:T

Just heard from Amazon 16GB SIM free back in stock...

"1 item - delivery estimate: 4 Jan 2014 - 7 Jan 2014" so not too long. Chuffed! as getting it at £10 cheaper than Tesco plus no need to unlock.

So I spent the extra tenner on one of these as the wife will like it..

Plus one of these to go with it...

Unfortunately the Moto G is still at £159.99 on Amazon but maybe its worth trying what I did and sticking one in your shopping basket then keeping an eye on in case it dips and try and catch it... just don't buy anything else and checkout so buying it accidentally.. I can imagine I would do something like that :o

Cheers and thanks MB for the thread on this phone! Got me off the hook as I was struggling for a January birthday present.

Personally I don't like flip covers as they flap about when you use the phone to call or if you fold them fully back behind the phone it takes its toll on them.

Looking forward to getting a phone needing minimum setup for a change, no flashing, no rooting, no unlocking just shove a sim in and sync to Google.

I've got the 16GB version and love it. Only problem I have is that there seems to be quite a few chips/scratches on the top corners of the phone. I have obviously dropped it a few times, which is my own fault and it could have been damaged much more, but it does seem to have got more damaged than phones I've had previously and been just as clumsy with.

So, just to warn people to be more careful than me! The screen is fine and the damage isn't noticeable unless you look closely. I'm just annoyed with myself that I wasn't more careful.

  • Loving my 16gb moto..only problem at the minute I have is the battery tends to feel pretty hot after a day's use....wonder if anyone else has the same issue?
