Thank you all ♥️More bruises have emerged on my left leg and step DD has told me I can take their bottle of 'that stuff for pain' spray 🤣 It's really effective!Although today has mostly been spent sitting on my bed, we have watched the Chicken Nuggets film and played with fire. The 2 trees Pip cut down needed cleaning and a huge bonfire was had with the dregs of them plus dead stuff that was lying around and that needed to be got rid of before wildfire season arrives. Much fun was had.And the big dog found a gopher. Another bit of wildlife to say I've seen. Luckily, no bears. Step son in law said yesterday that any emerging bears would have turned tail and gone back to hibernation cos I was making so much noise!Tomorrow we pack up and head home.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

We are gratefully home. Yay! It was an overnight flight, coupled with 7 hours of time difference, so I'm expecting the jetlag to last a while. I did snooze a bit on the plane, and got a solid 2 hour naplet once home, then slept from 9pm-8.30am ish.Dh hardly snoozed on the plane and was awake until about 8pm when he immediately started snoring ! He slept until 9.30am ish.And Pip snoozed a little on the plane, then dropped off at home around 3.30pm. I woke him at 6 and made him go to the bathroom. He refused any food and begged to go back to bed! I made him get into jamas and then let him sleep, with food by his bed and instructions for what to do when he woke in the night. He only woke between 4-5am and then slept until I dragged him into consciousness at 11 am!We'll see how we all fare tonight...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6

I don't think we really suffered from jetlag, which has been surprising but most welcome.Pip has not returned to school this term. We had a meeting this morning with the Head, head of sixth form, senco. It was very good and there was no criticism or negativity. All of us working out what we can do to help Pip. Dh and I are happy with the meeting and the outcome. Phew.I feel very relieved. No more challenging times trying to keep him 'fit for school ' or assessing him each morning as to whether he might cope or not. It's liberating. I have a very busy couple of months ahead with invigilating and marking, so not having to worry about Pip is a good thing.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

just caught up. What fabulous memories and so well done for Pip coming to own conclusion re school and then being supported in that by parents and school.
(One of my neighbours had a daughter who simply stopped school by refusing to attend and announced having done her research she would take all her lessons on line, luckily her parents could afford the annual fee, and she did her lessons at really weird times that worked for her, often sitting in a tree, she went on to achieve excellent exam results and got a highly sort after work placement after A levels where she competed against thousands for one of 12 places. It really opened my eyes to how successful alternatives to "traditional school" can be. Interestingly she was an excellent communicator with adults as a result, and asked me if I would help her with a couple of her competition horses by bring my stable minded cob out with her. She was chatty, bright and confident which she said was as a result of being supported in her educational choices).Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -
Sounds like a good outcome for all of the family x1

Today I have been paid to watch pupils write exams. Oh, and a little more besides just that, of course. Three sessions. Some fab kiddies. And I was roving in the afternoon, so had 3 walks with different pupils on their rest breaks.Spoke with the senco at the end of the day about getting an EHCP for Pip.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4
