The whole journey was super smooth. I'll admit I was quite surprised at how many people are travelling at 6am!It's currently 6.30pm and we're all hanging on grimly to stay awake for a bit longer.Landing in Calgary was amazing. Yes, you have the sprawling city, but to the west are snow covered mountains. Gorgeous. And just 1.5 hours later, we were in them!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

The gondola trip was fab. And at the top, we walked along to the cosmic ray station 🤣🤣🤣.Plenty of steps today, over 15500. And I was walking around in a sleeveless top!Very tired but very happyNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!1

Happy hols, may you all have a fabulous time xMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!1 -
Sounds like a glorious trip! EnjoyDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Today we hit the slopes!! Ish. The very very gentle slopes. We all had a lesson, which was aimed mostly at Pip as a total beginner, and me as an almost total beginner. And dh had several of his bad habits improved 🤣.We skied as it snowed and dh got an extra run on his own with the instructor cos Pip and I were roo knackered for any more.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Dh and I took the trail to the top of Sulphur Mountain today. It took us 2h20 and was jolly hard work indeed! The views were awesome, the air was cold and fresh, it snowed on us. We caught the gondola back down - we weren't wearing crampons, so going back down the trail would have just been stoooopid. After a hearty lunch, we all headed back to town so Pip could mooch around the shops. All in all, a smidge over 18000 steps, the majority of which were very uphill🤣.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

When we got the bus to the ski place on Monday, it was full. And when we arrived, it emptied out calmly and beautifully from the front . No rushing to get off first! Twas blissful!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Fab drive through the mountains to get to dsd1's place. So little traffic. Such stunning views. There's a climbing centre in town so Pip has signed up for a 2 week membership. Going 4 times will mean we're quids in. And this weekend is the final weekend of the ski season on the mountain , so climbing will be the go-to activity. We're all trying a snowboard lesson, which should be funny. I think I'll be falling over a lot! We've just come inside from a fire outside. Today, it's been warm enough to be in shorts and then just adding a hoodie for the fire.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4
