What a worry. I'm surprised no one had you waking PIP every couple of hours   (Horse riders I know - and me too tbh - have falls and that is standard advice when we hit out heads or think we have done so, A&E only let us out if we have someone to promise to do that).

Aaannnnd, we got to bed at midnight after spending the evening in A+E where it was confirmed that Pip has suffered a concussion, that it wasn't severe enough to need a scan or stay in hospital, but that he might need up to a week off school.
So today, Monday, he clearly wasn't going to be fit for school so he slept until 11ish, had breakfast and dozed off again about 1 for 3 hours!
And I'm a bad mother for letting him sleep so long :D

So far, Pip has made it to one lesson this week 🤣.
Today he had extreme skin sensitivity - so much that it felt like being prodded with needles, like when you get shingles - which, after a bit of research, turns out to be another consequence of concussion.
So I've been indoors all day. But made sure I did things for me too- watched a recorded six nations match, did a workout, made more 3 ingredient brownies, finished an audiobook.
Tomorrow is a new day 😎

Mr apple has orders (from me) to take it easy as he has had a horrible cold and he kept going for too long.
Pip managed school + Dr appointment on Mon, didn't on Tues (not even able to open a drawer to get a tshirt out), went in today but only for 30 mins! He was sick 3 times, so is home today and tomorrow.
We've nabbed a Dr appointment for this afternoon, for in case it is linked to the concussion, but we think that it is due to anxiety, so we're hoping the Dr can suggest something for that.
I was in liddle when i got the call from the school, so at least I got my shopping done. I was at the checkout, so it wasn’t a middle of liddle surprise  :D Then I did my workout at home whilst catching up on the 6 nations. I still don't know who's won it!
Dh and I raised the upper bunk of Pip's bed yesterday. Pip has always had to hunch over when sitting on the bed, but we acquired a new mattress that is a couple of cm deeper than the other one, so he was having to be all scrunched up - not ideal. He'd asked us a while ago to raise the top bunk, so it was not even more needed. It took us a while, but it looks fab and he can sit up now.
