Today I have gymmed, liddled, bought 2 slabs of wood, laundered twice, fed us all, marked and tried to keep Pip sane.

Plodding on with marking. I'm doing okay with my self-imposed schedule. Today was not a day for feeling the love!

This morning I varnished the wood on one side and did the other after lunch. I mowed the back grass this afternoon, and given that the area can only be about 3m square, it filled the grass box three times!!!

The kitchen man will access the house from the back, through the garden, so this was a step in making that possible.

Tomorrow Pip has a morning exam and after dropping him off, I plan to go to the tip and then to the gym (or the other way round!) We have another kitchen design appointment in the afternoon with a much more expensive company, so it'll be interesting to see the price difference. Our builder friend will also be here. One plus for the expensive place is that the units come ready assembled and Ik3a's units don't. So me and dh would be playing with allan keys in order to save paying the builder man to do what is essentially unskilled work. However, it's probably not going to be worth ££££ extra...

Pip says that the maths paper went ok. Phew. Just lang left now.

As well as the school run and tip trip, I also went to liddle and ran 2 miles at the gym after my weights sesh, and got home in time to wash and change, eat something and go and collect Pip!

We were decidedly underwhelmed by the expensive kitchen people. Yes they listened to our requirements and took some measurements but say it'll take them a week (!!!!!) to draw up a plan for us to see/amend. REALLY??? Ik3a did it in 60 mins... Well, builder friend will chase it over the next couple of days. Not impressed.

TBH, I'd like to get cabinets and hob, cooker, extractor and dishwasher from the swedish store and the worktop from the expensive place.

We also need to go and choose tiles and flooring, which will be large and white, and light wood vinyl respectively.

I have finished marking my largest centre, plus a couple of others, so I'm currently at 104/202. Yay!

I've nearly finished the knitted beehive tea cosy for my sister's bday this weekend. Only been knitting it since before Christmas... But I did have to restart as the original one was waaay too small. I still need to stuff and sew up the bees and make wings for them...

Up and out early this morning, getting to the gym just after 6am! Did a heavy weights sesh and then trotted/waddled a couple of miles. Home to check on Pip and out again at 9 for my counselling appointment. Pip had opted to go back to sleep, so I woke him at 11. It was much needed extra sleep.

I'm in the mood for marking, but the 'service isn't available right now.' Sigh. I guess I'll go and get some lunch instead...

Pip has finished all of his exams. And has, as expected, flopped. He doesn't know what to do with himself!

I have spent the day pottering on with marking (found another way to access the audio, which is just as well as it is still not working for me. I've rebooted, cleared the cookies and tried two different browsers, all to no avail. So I've sent 'them' an email). And I seem to also have spent the day eating. Whoops.

I did a workout in the garden this morning, which was beautiful in the sunshine/shade.

Went and looked at some tiles with dh. No real decision made, but we now have an idea. If we go for other than white, we may need to wait for the units and counter to be installed, to see just how the colours turn out...

I did a little more gardening, so the back gate is more accessible, and also my quota of marking for the day.
