I didn't get nearly as many steps as I'd expected, because I was often just invigilating one or two pupils. They needed a caring, reassuring person and it seems that I fitted the bill 😎.

I enjoyed the intensity and organisational aspect of it, but it's just so nice to have finished. Especially with weather as lovely as today.

I used the week to start doing intermittent fasting until lunch time, as I couldn't eat whilst invigilating exams. And was able to carry it on over the weekend and today. I must admit that I do feel better for it.

It feels like a Saturday because pip's finished his exams until after half term. But we still have another Saturday tomorrow. Whoop, whoop 🤣🤣🤣.

I've been to the gym for a hard sesh. Pip is meeting up with a school friend this afternoon. Dh is out until late afternoon. Bliss!

I picked my first raspberry yesterday. They're super early because I didn't cut them down last year, but should also fruit until late because they can't stop themselves sprouting new canes🤣.

It's show day! Pip is stopping dance classes at the end of this term and we are all looking forward to reclaiming the time.

The show went very well but Pip is totally wiped out and a feeble weeble today.

I get to start my exam board marking. Whoop whoop!

I did a super hard gym sesh this morning, and an enjoyable liddle visit ( I lurve that place!!!).

I passed my marking check and the portal started working for me. Stargate here I come...

I have now completed 8/198. That'll do for now.

Just posted this on the NST thread, and thought it'd be good to have it here to refer back to over the next few weeks.

"I'm having fun now doing my marking. But I only started a few days ago, so it could just be the honeymoon period!

After a good night's sleep of about 11 1/2 hours, I feel much more like myself. Add to that that we're on half term and Pip only has 2 exams left.

We're suddenly going to have our kitchen remodelled and the (plaster) wall between it and the dining room taken down and a breakfast bar put in. Dh wants a dishwasher (we've never had one) and we'll be extending into the under stairs cupboard which is accessed from the kitchen. 

Our builder friend also suggested moving the square archway that separates the dining area and the lounge, but after talking to some neighbours, we fund out that it contains the supporting beam for upstairs, so we'd best keep it!!! Not moving the archway means that we won't have to move pipes, electrics and a radiator. And that will reduce the total cost.

The same friend has offered up the whole top floor of his house while the work is going on - it's basically a self-contained flat and should allow us the privacy we're used to.

He'll also project manage it and he's popping over this evening with the builder who will do it.

We like this friend!

It'll cost rather a lot, but it'll be worth it. "

Flippin' 'eck though - the amount of gubbins we'll need to move... Gulp...
