My mother was a firm believer in the clean pair of knickers, toothbrush and credit card in a handbag and you were good to travel the world. My dad persuaded her to use a suitcase just to save the credit card but the memory of her saying that everytime we went somewhere always makes me smile

The bags are still where we left them when we brought them home! To be honest, we've nowhere to put them out to fill them with stuff to take, so the list remains unticked while the bags are happily useless.Kitchen probably has 3 days of work left, but only the rest of today to do it in.... So dh is down there sanding the walls down. I've been out to get more sage green grout. By end of play, the grouting should be finished, the walls painted, the ceiling with a second coat, electrics working, silicon stuff done, kick board under cabinets. And the back garden cleared of tools, etc...What won't be done: join cover between front laminate and back bamboo floors; dishwasher (hurumph); some lights. I'm sure there is more but I can't think of it right now...At end of play, it'll be time for a thorough dust clean in the back and hopefully some of the front so as to put some easy stuff in cupboards and move some front furniture back to its place which will create more middle-of-the-room space.I'm still stoopidly excited!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3
