A spray bottle with water in it on mist, and spray the air all over the place before you start the damp dusting. It makes a huge difference to the amount of time and the amount of rewipes you need to do.Anyway, it will all settle while you are away!I am excited for you, and your travels. Don't stress the small things, just enjoy.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Cane toad racing in Port Douglas anyone?Kitchen is fab and we've reclaimed a fair amount of the lounge. Result.I have chosen my bag for travelling, after Pip chose the NEW red one and dh went for the NEW black one. It was a toss up between a tough brown wheelie bag and a green wheelie suitcase. I've gone for the case despite it being smaller - not that nix take up too much room, even the size I wear... Temp in Melbourne - 12C; Sydney - 17C (but v rainy this year); Newcastle - 14C; Port Douglas - 24C (finally). So, clothes for cool, chilly, wet, warm....Been feeling out of sorts today, then realised that I've probably not taken my happy pills for a few days. Oops. So I took one, did a workout, ate tea and had some chocolate.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Glad you are pleased with the kitchen. Have a fab trip when you go 🧳🧳🧳🌏✈🌞1

Still in love with the kitchen ♥️We're all packed, amazingly. My bag weighs in around 12.5 kg, dh's around 17.5kg and pip's at a hefty 22kg! He is taking school work and some of the presents for relatives, which must account for at least 8-9 kg! Dh booked us in with 30kg each for every flight we'll be doing so we're fine.Dh packed his stuff in the new black bag but is was a real squeeze to close it, so he swapped for the tough brown one and has a little room to spare. And is so much happier. I could see the tension melt away as he re-packed and realised that it would fit v easily. We're not getting the super loop bus to the airport tomorrow (which would cost a grand total of £1.75 as both DH and pip go free 🤣). Instead, it's a bus to the train station, a train (surprise, surprise) to Farringdon, then the Elizabeth line where we need to mind the gap.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

Wishing you a super holiday.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

And we're here! My legs don't fly well and despite me trying to move them as much as possible, they are very puffy and rather solid. One memorable thing from Dubai airport: camel's milk chocolate. Somehow it just doesn't seem right!Dsd2 picked us up from the airport and we had a few hours at her's and then she brought us to our place, which is fab. Super high ceilings, leftover spices, condiments and a few tins from previous visitors, gorgeous floorboards. It used to be a bank and we're on the floor that house the gold 🪙 and also have a couple of old pillars in the place. It's very central and has a lovely buzz about it.We all got differing amounts of sleep on the flights. Dh has just woken from a 3 hour nap; Pip wasn't going to sleep but then crashed; I'm managing to stay awake so far, and have popped to two local supermarkets, but am not v impressed. They don't have non-smoked bacon here 😱. And if you want gluten free, you have to hunt down the items in amongst the gluten filled stuff. Madness, I tell you! And it's all soooo costly! However, there's an aldee under a mile away, so I'm hoping their prices will be more reasonable...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

We went out for dinner last night with the girls (Pip stayed home) and had delicious coeliac-accredited Greek food. Yum! It was a fair walk and a blowy evening, so just as well Pip didn't come along. And today we've hung out with dsd2, going to St Kilda and it went from fine drizzle to glorious sunshine, which was lovely.I managed to not pack pip's 3 shirts plus one pair of trousers (pip had got all the clothes etc together but had a meltdown and asked me to actually pack them.) So he now has one from an Op Shop (Opportunity Shop, ie charity shop) and one from a cheapie shop in town. I got some bugs bunny jama trousers, a neck rest for the plane (smaller than the one I tried using to come out here) and some fabric (oops!), and Pip got a beret. And we have sourced suitable nuggets and pretzels. Phew.Tomorrow we're all going bouldering. Well, everyone else is and I'm on baby duty!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Sounds fab! The weather here is rainy and feeling coldish. You aren't missing anything. Enjoy your baby duties. Check out the job market .....? Maybe? 🤔4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I didn't get any baby duty cos one of the mums wasn't climbing. So I just had a few cuddles and tickles. But I did spend an hour in another Op Shop, only spending $2 on 2 items for Pip. I took Pip there after he finished bouldering and he chose another item. This morning we went to Queen Victoria market and has a fab mooch. Dh got a hoodie, and I got a rather expensive pair of fabulous extremely wide-legged trousers. 😎NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2
