I think sometimes health wealth and a life well lived are all the same thing. By that I mean today I will eat well (no more feasting on the christmas chocs (health) check my credit card (wealth) and plan to a lovely walk in the village with my boyfriend (life well lived)Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Indeed, Watty. They are 3 strands to a plait, 3 legs of a milking stool and any other 3- thing we can think of! I'm sure f0xh0les will have some suggestions...

We have this plant pot at work, it is shaped like an udder with 3 feet-teats, and coloured like a friesian cow. Honestly, it is hideous. It combines feet, milking stool, teats and 3 strands of wrongness. AND it is £15. My brain hurts.

I've been reading/skimming over the threads re goals/resolution/fun things to do in the upcoming year. I'll see if I can categorise them under my Health, wealth, life well lived plan... Might even write them up on here!!!

Sooo, I've done myself a chart that makes some sort of sense out of my scribblings re 2023. It has 4 sections: Health, Wealth, a Life well-lived and Other (
) across the top and the 12 months down the side. Some things are repeated monthly, so fit in easily and are in the right 'box' as a reminder. Then there's another list of ideas underneath the chart.
I have my '12 daily habits' at the front of my notebook as a daily reminder and will print my chart and keep it in the notebook too.But apple, I hear you cry, what sort of things do you have there???Some examples: Over the year - read the Tightwad Gazette and Atomic Habits; learn Romanian; try and make 23 new-to-me designs to sell; research craft fairs/markets; 23 bags to the Sally Army; 23 foodbank donations; get to 23 man push ups (ie no knees); complete 23 DIY jobs...Monthly - gym; run; IF; headspace; spend £23 on me; 23 mins tidying; 23 mins cleaning (these are weekly, so at least I'll get started!!)4 months of job, and my focus is on eating well and losing some lbs permanently. I don't want to wait until I stop regular work to look after my body as I should; 2 months of intense work for exam board, invigilating, summer fairs(?) as well as usual job; 2 more months finishing exam work and summer hols; 4 months of a new adventure with no fixed income. And that is 2023 in a nutshell.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!1 -
Sounds good! Tell us about choosing Romanian to learn? Unless you've got rellies there, it's quite a minority language. And ooh, man push ups - that's a good goal

Romanian ?? What prompted that? Certainly an unusual language.
I like the 23 in 23 idea ...nice!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

My French-teaching colleague is Romanian. Hence the idea. Thought I'd surprise her with little notes every so often!

Been to the gym. Did two Zuzka Light kettlebell workouts (ooph!) and got on the fancy all singin', all dancin' weigh and record for posterity machine. And this is where keeping a record is useful as I can see that paying attention to things in Dec has paid off a little. Nowt spectacular, but muscle mass is increasing.Jan's plans include no sugar, no playing a certain game on my phone, keeping work done outside of work to a minimum. I'd like to run a bit too. Several years ago, Habibiboo challenged me to make 100 items in 100 days, which I accepted and achieved. I might try a similar thing as it goes over several months. In order to achieve the 'minimum work outside school days', I'd best get on with planning! I don't mind using my holiday time to do this, as it makes the term time soooo much easier.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4
