Today I don't want to go to work. No surprise there, then. I'll have to get used to this for the next few months. Every other Friday is like this as it's such a full day. Bah!

As a reward for being so brave and going to work today, take the next two days off as a reward.  :p. How many days left?

Well done. Ours were rubbish today, a few potatoes and banana shallots, a pot of sad basil and a small bunch of grapes, so I left it behind. Disappointed ☹️.

We totally underestimated the impact the comp sci subject and teacher and lessons have on pip. So, dh and I kind of agreed with that dep head for pip to do a certain thing until half term. Somehow, pip had heard about our meeting and asked. When told, they end up having a meltdown. And made extremely valid points. I'm gutted that we got it so wrong and didn't insist on our original plan.
Today, pip's HOY put them in a room near his lesson so that they wouldn't be in comp sci. Not perfect, as it feels quite isolated on your own. But better than going to the lesson. Pip has it again tomorrow and has already decided to go and see HOY in the morning, and bring him up to date, and refuse to go to that lesson.

This is what I did on Sunday to make the "sweets".  I've made these years ago and the mix is forgiving so use what you have rather than shopping. I put 200gms of brazil nut with 60 gms of oats in the food processor and whizzed until a fine mix then added 30 g of chia seeds, 250 gm apricots, 3 heaped tablespoon of plain protein powder and the zest of an orange.

This mix would have been fine in my old food processor but the new one is much smaller and so blending that lot would not stick together as there just was not the room.  In the past variations of this mix would make a firm dough but it just would not this time so i added the juice of the orange and it made a right sticky mess.   I then pressed this into a small roasting tin lined with greaseproof paper and froze. After a couple of hours I took it out and cut into little squares and then put them back in the freezer.

I've had a couple.  My boyfriend loves them but he really loves anything really sweet.  i found them to be rather sticky and sweet and next time will not use the orange juice  - or - if I do use that I will use less apricots.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

    Thanks watty x.
Took pip to school and did a couple of hard workouts at the gym this morning. Plus a load of laundry, plus setting up a spreadsheet for my day trip to France, plus prepping a class again to half term (as colleague didn't prep what we'd planned and had already started teaching what I'd prepped! So I've prepped the next unit now). Finally posted stuff to niece and a book back to WOB. A visit to a ch shop got me the letters for pip's name in candles, some small soft toy animals to use as 'labels' on their bday presents on Fri, a new-to-me skipping rope and a small gingerbread man cookie cutter that I can use for needle felting them. All for £3. Another £3 got me 14 cards from the factory of cards. A good haul.
