I'm minimising dried fruit myself as I could happily scoff it all down!!!

I've some vegan dark chocolate I was given at Christmas and on my it is delicious but I'm going to cut it out when it is all gone.
I'm not counting the fruit for now Karmacat, in fact I'm planning on making some little treat squares by whizzing up some dried apricots, some oats and some brazil nuts with a splash of orange juice and some protein powder and then pressing into bars. The nuts and protein powder will slow the sugar release from the apricots and it should be so much healthier than the sweet stuff I have been eating. (can post proportions when I've done if anyone really wants to know!)Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!3 -
Watty, yes please, I'd like the proportions, I could cope with doing that.2023: the year I get to buy a car2

Me too, Watty. Thanks. So I'm back to work today and still not feeling the love for it. My French-teaching colleague won't be there as she's quite poorly, which is a big shame. There are no kiddies in the building and it's a 9am start, and there is built in departmental time, which is a rare treat indeed!I plan to print out some display stuff and photocopy as much of my stuff as I can for this half term. And leave bang on time.Anyhow, a quick count up shows I've 22 weeks of work left (not including holidays), so approx 44 days...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

I got a lot done at work. Left on time feeling v satisfied with what I'd done there.Today started with an early heavy sesh at the gym which I thoroughly enjoyed. Pip actually set an alarm, so was awake and reading when I got back.English has caused much upset today. It's an assessment that pip missed last term. Not going well. But needs doing. What has gone well is a meeting with the senco at pip's school. Pip is dropping a subject where the fallout from it impacts on absolutely everything else in their life. Senco was fab and hopes to have the matter sorted by the end of the week. That will free up about 5 hours per fortnight for pip to work on their other subjects in school. Win win.I've sent a few froglet emails that I've been putting off and done a smidge of prep. Pip is back at school tomorrow so I'll do it then.Still sugar free? Yep. But I've not had that wonderful lightness you're supposed to get on day #3 🤣🤣🤣. I'm eating fruit and there's still sugar in some things, about ingredient #5. So I guess that has an impact... I'll keep on with it, of course.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Well done on the froglets
and well done Pip on dropping a subject - when it's right, it's right.
Day 3 seems very early to me to feel good after getting rid of sugar, I don't remember it being that early. And if you're still eating fruit, and some ordinary processed foods with sugar in, then that has an effect too. But cutting it down to 10% or whatever of what you've been using is great - no more empty calories, instead calories with micronutrients, plus no toxic effect - I always remember a scientist (who? no idea!) saying if sugar was discovered nowadays, it wouldn't be legal, it would be classified as a dangerous drug! No idea if its true, but it was a powerful thing to read.2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
The subject is not quite dropped as the 2 dep heads want to meet with us 'to understand the rationale behind dropping a subject.' Sigh. But only at the end of Monday. Sigh. One of them is the one who made things very difficult when we asked to change pip's name... I'm planning for dh to do most of the talking.I had another fab gym sesh this morning, lots of kettle bell swings, snatches, cleans, burpees, deadlifts, squats and windmills. Just what I needed.I've finally prepped my y13 work up to half term, and it took a fair while longer than I'd anticipated. But it's now done. Just reception to finalise for next Fri now.I've eaten waaaay too much today. I wasn't hungry. Just greedy! Now I feel like a telly tubby...Oops, this didn't post yesterday.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4
