Thanks humdinger - finally something I can ask my dh to get me for Cmas!!!

Between now and the end of the year, I plan to log all food - only on a word doc, so nowt extraordinary - and use it to plan slightly ahead too. So far today, I think it has really stopped me snacking. And that is a very good thing indeed.

I'm having baked tato this eve (dh is having mash) so I've zapped 3 huge tatoes and they've been in the oven while I then made oatcakes and choc chip shortbread. So, not exactly going low carb

Pottering on.

Met with a couple of senior bods with pip at school to talk re possibilities for sixth form. We think it went well! For me, it was more about getting info and ideas rather than anything set in stone.

I have since finished the second HP cloak and sewn up the bodies ready for stuffing and making legs and attaching the cloaks. Then I just need to do the scarves and face embroidery. Both HPs sold at the fair last Sat, along with a Luna. Yay! Nother fair on Fri at my place.

I've also done a short workout at home, got some washing done, and starting trying to pin a king size duvet cover to the wooden baton at the edge of the ceiling where the stairs are. It's a jolly solid baton, so I'm going to get the hammer out to push the drawing pins in with! I need a chair too. \but by draping it over the bannister and pinning a bit, it has started getting pip used to the change, rather than presenting them with it on their return this evening.

Off soon to meet a friend for lunch at a place we've not been to for aaages. It's about a 2.5m walk, so that leaves dh the car for his stuff this avo, and gets me a good leg stretch. I can always get the tram/bus back, or a lift from my friend...

I have 10 mins til I have to get ready. Best get that chair and hammer...

Gosh, December already.

Pip and I brought the Christmas box down from the loft yesterday. I've opened it, but we've not taken owt out yet. Apart from pip's advent calendar, we've not clues that the 25th is special here.

I enjoyed a good mooch in my fave charity shop and got several items that I can cut up for crafting, and also use to send bits of fabric to big sis, as she's asked for nice fabric bits for cmas.

Tomorrow is my school's fair straight after school - in fact it starts before the seniors finish for the day, so I need cover for the last lesson and I hope they are organised with setting up the tables so that I can get my stuff out during my lunch break!

Well, the school fair was cancelled. No one told me. Pretty miffed.

From the items I found in a ch shop 2 days ago, 2 were for crafting. Then pip saw the trousers and thought they should be kept for them to grow into! And the pretty dress actually fits me, so pip told me to not cut it up. I also got a pair of those running leggings that have a thigh pocket to hold a phone and that fit nicely. So the only things left for crafting are 2 red spotted neckerchiefs!

Anyway, I had another chance for a mooch elsewhere today while pip danced and spent £29.50 on: a fleece blanket for the car, a really thick warm hoodie for pip, 2 pairs of matching jamas for big sis and bil, a shaving kit for bil, exercise shorts and floor sliders for me. Very happy with my finds. And very pleased to find things for sis + bil.

Sorry your school fair was cancelled with no notice! Good CS finds. 

Glad the meeting at school was positive one too. things seem to be going really well!

Currently avoiding marking mock papers... La la la, can't see them... they're behind me, they don't exist...

I am unable to access the mark schemes cos they're the 2022 papers and centre services is being stroppy yet again with me. As a result, I have to listen to the CD for the foundation listening paper and then the A level listening CD. Plus all the pupils' speaking tests... Don't wanna do it!

So I'm not doing it today and I'm planning to do it tomorrow...

Centre services is a blooming nightmare - often keeps spooling for me and tells me I can't login and I need to clear my cookies. No I don't- CS is just pants - and as for the fact I have to use my personal mobile for 2fa to get into it all the time..... grrrrr. Oh - and when hunting down resources for mocks they are often hard to find because of the filters  - apparently it likes you to choose them in a particular order, according to the customer service rep I moaned to. Pesky site!

Thank you greent, I'm relieved it's not just me. I'll try opening it on a private window and then, if that fails, IE.

I did chat to my exams officer on Fri and asked her to access the mark schemes for me, download and email them too me. And sent an email too. But nowt has arrived. And I'll need to write those pesky reports very very soon. Sigh.

In the end, I called them. They could log in as me and see everything!!! However, they were happy to send me all the mark schemes, which was a huge relief.

I scored a liddle box this morning:

2 endives (I think - maybe pak choi?), 1 mango, 5 nanas, loadsa apples, plenty of satsuma/clementine/orange, 1 pepper, 1 carrot, potatoes and onions. It was a heavy box. I also got dh a posh pizza down to 70p, so according to the NST rules, I get to keep my nsd - unless I spend later...

And my gym session was a good'un.

But apple, why aren't you marking??? I hear you cry. Never fear, I'm on a 15 min break after spending 30 mins marking an A2 paper. I'm going to get all the paper ones done so that I then have no excuse whatsoever not to mark the speaking ones.

Just 4 GCSE speakings left to do. They're for tomorrow.

I've also sent lots of emails about the day trip in March, and that should hit the ground running very soon.
