Apple muncher's number crunching

I avoided the boxes with sprout trees in them. My dad always laughed at them, as if growing them on trees was a special skill rather than the way they grew all on their own! I rarely go for the super 6 as they usually don't look that good value, or they've been shipped in from so far away. (though my blackberries were from Guatemala!!!) I've already made a pan of stewed blackberry + apple to use up some of the apples that I paid full price for
a short while ago.
Walked to school with pip this morning (and back all on my tod) as the roads were a tad iffy. Turns out that once you get out of our part of the estate then the roads are ok. Until it all freezes over tonight... I'll take the car up this afternoon - dh is out this evening and will need it anyway, so I'll be the one to clear it. It was frozen solid when I came past it on the way home...We'd had an email from pip's school at 6.40am today giving very clear and simple info. It is also on their website. My place? Nowt.I need to move about. I am cold and starting to shiver even though the heating is on, I have eaten my lunch and had a coffee, and have a heated pad in the small of my back. Hmmm. Not like me. Maybe sitting on the floor isn't helping...!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2 -
Well, I didn't take the car as the battery is dead. Dodo. Doornail. It is now charging, pesky thing. So I walked up to get pip and we caught a bus home.Tomorrow will be interesting. Either the car will work. Or it won't and I'll be on the buses. But there's a bus strike on certain companies. And I'll need to know by 6.30 whether I'm driving or bussing! Dh has said he'll get up to put the battery back in by 6.30NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

The battery is now playing ball and working fine. Phew.Monday was all too much for pip who had a meltdown around midnight last night and was very definitely not going to school today. I did go in and it was a very full on day, rushing to fit things in, as well as teach. But it all got done. I had my chatette with the head which was short and sweet and went well. I've selected my clothing for the interview tomorrow and planned my day. All subject to change according to pip's needs, though...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Pip is currently sleeping and I'm keeping them off school, so that they can hopefully go in on Thurs and Fri. DH has had to go in to open the school where he locks up - main caretaker has covid! I've done a workout, got laundry in the machine, and will toddle in to school around 10. Just need to iron my clothes -gotta make an effort, eh?!I don't plan to join any of the official shenanigans at work (apart from the lunch!), but I know that Jan's inset day will focus on display, so I want to strip down my boards and rearrange some of the stuff I have up. Getting ahead of the game, and all that...Off to see if pip'll wake up .NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

I had a lovely time at work, with the colleague I never see. It was fab! And we worked together to take down the current 'display' and re-jig some of it, bin some of it and then fill the gaping blanks with some posters until we can get kids' work to go up.I didn't stay for lunch in the end, as pip was still not fit for much, so I came back early.I went to my interview and, even including the travel there and back and parking, I reckon it took me longer to fill in the form than I spent in the interview.
I should hear in a couple of days.
