Amazingly, dh has mended the washing machine and it is now doing a white's wash! He has explained to me what he did, and although I didn't understand most of it, I am grateful for the internet! And the means of getting clean clothes! And for not having to buy a new machine!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Sorry to hear about your uncle A*M, but glad Friday went well and that you were able to be there with your mum, these things mean a lot to those left behind.
Hope you've not been doing too much though, especially if you have underlying anxiety, it's not good when it spills into bad sleep and mad dreams. Hope your weekend is restful. x
PS: Are you still thinking of woolly hats for next year? I have a good pattern book you can borrow of you do decide to head in that direction. And I recommend Aran types,or doubled up DK as they knit up in no time, ideal if you want to get lots done (what with your passion for 100 item challenges and all)!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

That's the best way to learn - to HAVE to use it! Well done you!
Your safety pins have come in useful, despite me not having trekked to ikea for the fleeces. I needed them to hold up my trousers for the funeral (!) as the wonderwebbing was less than wonderful.
So, Kids Klub has been done, Sains has been visited and purchases made. I so do not like shopping in there! Dd is out the front, playing, so the door is open. Dh is putting the top back on the WORKING :j washing machine (although I can hear what sounds like gaffer tape being pulled...) I have filled in the form for the school fair (£20 for the table - reasonable?) and am having a crisis of confidence as to whether I'll sell anything! And tomorrow's course location has been located and is just 2 tube stops and a stroll up from Victoria. (MEGA brownie points to me for going for training in my 1/2 term!)
I am still weary from the travelling and emotion of the last week, not surprisingly.
Hbbb - I'd love to have a look at the hats book. I don't know if that's what I want to make now (soooo fickle, I know), all as part of my crisis of confidence, but a good look would maybe help me to decide... Not sure I'd go for 100, though! Especially as I'm considering doing bunnies too... Thank you!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Did my training day up in the big smoke, and very good it was too!
So, tomorrow is my first day of proper half term, and I feel a list coming on...:
- go back to flippin spocksavers as I have no distance vision in my right eye, when using their specs
- get dd some toothpaste
- do school runs!
- get info on when and where I'm supposed to be for helping on the library visit for dd's class
- take some library books back to library
- price up travel for family day in London - railcard or not?
- try to move money over in dd's sch account (in credit for lunches which she will NEVER have)
- put more pennies on my Oyster
- sweep floors
- pop into Holl and Barr as they have their penny sale on, and I have a £1.50 voucher for there
- pop into £shops so as to fill the love in a box boxes
- sew some bunny bits together
- wash up
- pop into as many ch shops as I can bear - looking for presents, fabric (shhhhh), inspiration - but get back in time to go on library trip
The above is just random thoughts and ideas, in no logical order, and probably quite different from what I shall actually do tomorrow!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Why do I bother with a list!:rotfl:. Got on the 1st bus and where I had to change, there are 4 ch shops. So I decided to just mooch there. Conti uing to sort out my glasses - although v nec - was a step too far, esp as I have to meet for the library trip at 12.50 at dd's school. With no time pressure, I certainly mooched!!
For me: jeans, a jumper (may unravel it...) and a bag = £5.25
For dd: jeggings, jamas, tee shirt, tights, cotton cardi, 2 books, some tiny animals, a fairy dress = £10.85
Fabric: 4 pillow cases, baby clothes, skirt, dress = £7.35 (oopsie!)
And a scarf each for mum and sis, slipper boots for mum, a Hello Kitty bag for ? And felt tips for the love in a box boxes = £5.85
Total spent is just short of £30! But I am happy. I needed to have a mooching time. It is now all going through a quick wash as something I bought was making me sneeze - pet fur probably. Oh I am daft! I have just realised that I already have a wash on the airer, so where'll I put the other stuff - that needs hiding from dd!! Off to rearrange stuff...

- school runs
- 3hr session at dd's sch - ugh!
- food shop

I have completed my list!! :j:j:j
After seeing my fabric purchases yesterday, dd has banned me - again! - from buying more fabric...
Once she is home, we shall make some pizza base mix. And wash up!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Pizza wasn't acceptable this time. Will try a different recipe next time, and will also order 3 packs on prescription next time I can!
Dh has suggested that once I've taken dd to school, I snuggle up in bed with the telly on. I love that man!! There are many things I 'could' do, including sorting out my specs, but they can all wait!
So, tomorrow's list includes:
- school runs
- buy Mirror as it has an ALDI VOUCHER in it - or get dh to buy it and thus preserve an NSD
- snuggle in bed for HUTH
- have a leisurely look through some primal recipe websites, and note any simple ones that I can use for November. I reckon I'll only need 7 dinners, as we can repeat them. Maybe 2 breakfasts - one for weekdays and 1 for the weekend. And 4 lunches - weekdays at work, weekdays not at work, weekends. Then make my plan!
- mull over November exercise, along primal outlines
- transcribe all calendar events currently on online calendar to the one hanging on the wall
- move the sewing machine to the front of the table and take the cover off and plug it in, so that it is easy to access, and therefore may see some bunny action (dd and I counted up, and I have all the parts for 4 bunnies, and most of the parts for 4 more - must finish before cutting out any more!)
- get food and warm clothing ready for Friday's trip to LEGOLAND
Overall, a potentially snuggly satisfying day ahead...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I didn't shuggle in bed today, but I have had a very leisurely day indoors, and another NSD to boot.
The floors got swept, the rugs got hoovered, the pots got washed, the clothes got put away.
School runs were done, some Primal mooching was achieved, but nowhere near a plan yet!
I have done a list for tomorrow's outing, and made 4 bunnies! Dd is impressed with me (and so am I). If I get all the Christmas ones made, I may even take some to the fair... Which is in about 37 days...
Dinner is cooked, with just my attempt at sweet potato rosti to go.
I am seriously overeating at the mo! Just seem to want to stuff my face ...
Starting Primal will be a GOOD THING!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
