Thank you f0xh0les. You made me cry. You are so right.

Big sis has been here since Sat tea time and for once, hasn't been rushing hither and thither to visit other people. Instead, she has been with us all the time, which has been fantastic, just pottering on together. She's had a shed load of admin stuff to do, so there have been occasions with her, me and dc all in a row on laptops!

Today is the day I go away for a night. I was originally leaving with big sis + niece who arrived yesterday, but they're not going until late pm due to an admin meet that big sis has to do. So I'm leaving late this morning, will visit mum briefly (can't do more at the mo) when I arrive, and then my time's my own. I can check in at 3pm and only have to leave at 12noon. I have paid for 24hrs of wifi. I think I'll potter round all the ch shops local to mum and to where I'm staying. I might go for a walk in the wonderful park. I have bits and bobs of crafting, a couple of books, tinterwebby activities. Sainz will provide provisions for my tea; c0sta will provide breakfast coffee; and either somewhere near where I'm staying, or sainz again, will give me lunch. Then I'll be heading back in time for tea at home.

I may do lots; I may do nowt. It doesn't matter.

Apple it's so good to hear that you're taking the time you need; or at least some of it! The whole edifice comes down if you're not in shape; please prioritise yourself.   You're doing a fab job.  Love Humdinger x

Have a lovely decompression, and don't worry if you suddenly burst into tears at the sight of a squirrel, or a balloon,or some other daft thing.  You are under a massive amount of stress, and you need to come down from it.

This is such a good idea - kind of even better now that your time alone starts during the journey, even though sis is being good right now.  Enjoy that hotel room, whatever you choose to do/ not do.

I found a film of Candide on utube, in French of course. And have spent a happy 95 mins watching it, with it set in WWII times, bits missed out massively, other parts glossed over. It fulfilled the 'farce' remit 100%.

Tomorrow, I need to be less busy, to give myself time to breathe and flop.

It is like my time away never happened. Although I know that it did do me much good.

Here we are. November already. Half term is over and it is now wet, windy and dark. Fortunately not too cold yet, though the temp looks to drop a bit for the next few mornings.

Have arranged with work (more or less) about doing post-work meetings online as much as poss, due to not being able to leave dc alone + dh going out to work at 4.45.

Plodding on, with my own varying levels of anxiety.

I'm not surprised it feels like your time away never happened, your present situation sounds *so* stressful - remember to take the odd 5 minutes during the days, even if you're not going away again.  Hugs.

Think dc might like a  photography walk? If you get a good frost/fog it can be stunning to take pictures.  Plus it gets you out of the house for a while.  Little things for you to look forward to.  We are all here for you.
