    Have a lovely time :) x

Thank you greent. Staying with mum is always relaxing - no pets to make me itch and sneeze! And dd has her undivided attention, as befits a gma.

Pesky journey up, mostly in the rain, but clearer skies and warm here now.

Hello Hbbb! I have realised that all my cs comments may lead others to believe I camp outside them until they open the doors for me...! I loathe 'proper' shopping for clothes, but love cs visits! I've recently got much pickier - and I'm lucky to have this choice - and will only buy something that makes me feel good AND is cheap. I know which shops have a £1 rail,or kiddie stuff for 50p unless otherwise priced.

I think my wool/yarn bargains are due to people not knowing how much to charge for them, so just giving a low number when I ask (enquire or inquire? Can't remember the rule!).

I am totally looking forward to an extra day not working! Dd and I came up with a list of 17  friends who we reckon would like a bunny! So I've decided not to try to make any for the fair too. I've told dd that I'll focus as much as I can on getting the bunnies done in September, as well as other stuff so that I don't get bored with them.

I may also use the extra day to do some running. I've had a vague dream of completing a marathon one day, but having done several half marathons in the past (and am the proud owner of a PB of 1h40.11:T), I am well aware just how much training is needed. Not sure I want to commit that much time to it...

Oooh, have just realised that I still get my 'extra' pay this month! So can still throw it at the mortgage + savings. Yippee ! :j

Poor dd just couldn't fall asleep last night - it was well after 10pm. And she had quite a disturbed night too. However, she trotted in to the Bible Club at mum's church (the reason for our visit, as she found out about it a year ago and has been planning it ever since. Dd, not gma, that is!) quite happily and bounced home telling me about it afterwards.

She has just eaten a much bigger lunch than normal, so I'm happy on all accounts.

Now, dd having a bad night means I did too. So we'll both hopefully have a much better one tonight.

Brought some bunny limbs to stuff whilst here - but completed that task soon after arriving yesterday, so am down to knitting. And browsing on here! Or reading. So, not hardly short of things to do. Will probably take dd out to a park later - fresh air for the both of us.

I did some browsing last night ... For campervans! Surprisingly affordable on aut0trader... But nowhere safe to keep it as our garage houses dh's spitfire (grrrr) and is also 100m away from our front door! Also browsed for caravan holidays for next year - maybe on the IoW? It's not often I'm planning next year's hols before this year's one is finished!

My lovely mum has just given me £15 petrol money for coming up to see her :D. Will put that into the Christmas pot when I get home.

Home. Can't wait to get back there, so we are leaving gma's today. I just want to be in my own home. Dd is currently at the Bible School, then we'll have lunch, finish packing and hit the road. Let's see if we can get home within 5 hours.....

Have sort of started a Christmas list. Need to go through all my hiding places next week when dd is at school, and make a list of all the presents I already have. Possibly centralise them too, so as not to lose any of them! But I don't think I have very many...

The 17 bunnies should help to fill many gaps.

Also wish to have another go at decluttering the bumf in my wardrobe! Clothes will all stay as I'm seeming to be on a bit of a reduction roll - thanks to no sugar, and minimal grains - so they can stay for a month or two until I get back to them.

Dd wore a pair of trousers age 2-3 yesterday. She is 6 1/2!! They come well up her ankles and are tight round her butt, but she wanted to wear them! Kind of capri-style!

Oooh, another campervan dreamer here too ... one of my sealed pots has been assigned to this as it would be a great way to have some UK holidays with the dogs in tow without the extra expense of paying through the nose for them (which seems to happen in self-catering accommodation). I'm not sure if this will be a MF celebration spend or an interim spend to keep us on the MF road but allow us a few treats / outings together ... I guess it all depends what happens with cash flow and bargains in campervan world!

Hope you're having fun and get a better night tonight! x

The rising desire for a campervan is all due to stewby and her bongo! Dh is not averse to the idea, but not chomping at the bit either. He has sensibly suggested we hire one next year and see how we get on. It'll still cost us an arm and a leg, and take some getting used to, especially the lack of space compared with a cottage!

However, given his age and the mortgage agreement, I think I shall continue to plough the pennies into there.

I can't seem to work the calculators for overpaying; I just pull up the calculator on the tablet and use the subtraction button! By my reckoning, we may get to £50k by the end of 2015.... I recall how thrilled I was to get into the 60s, which wasn't too long ago.

We still have a mortgage because we bought my mum a house when she left my dad (at age 80!!!), and dh never mentions that we would be well mortgage-free if we hadn't done that. He's such a good'un! So I want to get it paid off asap, to free him - and me - from having to work full-time.

Enough rambling for now! Need to go and pack to go home!

Wow, you are quite inspirational .... Xmas gifts planned and some already stashed if if I've read right!
I got a lovely floppy eared bunny pattern just before Easter with the best of intentions... But unlike yourself, never for around to making them...not very ms I know, but there's always next year! And who knows, I may be part time by then so will be able to enjoy crafting that much more!

Have a safe journey home and enjoy your own 4 walls!
Look forward to reading your next instalment!

Thanks for dropping by hoit and for calling me 'inspirational'!

I've subscribed to a couple of Christmas threads, for ideas and motivation, and some people there are almost ready!

Do have a go with making the bunny! It's so satisfying to create something from scratch. Habibiboo got me going back in Feb, I think, with ideas of 100 craft items in 100 days. And I've not looked back! I love my sewing machine, but also my knitting needles. Dd wants me to learn to crochet - never satisfied, that one!!

I am happily home and sitting on my bed, waiting for dd to go to sleep next door. We reached the lovely m25 at 17.02. By 17.03 we were stationary !! But overall, it was generally moving and I didn't have to use my 'alternative route'. We were home by about 6.30 in the end so dd had time to play with her little friends out the front.

What will tomorrow hold? A proper, thorough, careful read of mothernerd's challenge for all of us turtles. Probably a swim with dd - although she was pretty wan and tired out, so not so sure. Think she will insist! A check through of my emails, unsubscribing from some and reading others. Laundry, of course. Bunny making.

I have a wild idea of cycling to work on a Thursday. But my bike has been in the garage for 2 years now - oopsie. We'll see if it happens....

Day 6 of no sugar is drawing to a close. I'm proud of myself for doing a 6-day run for the first time! Am not setting any goals forit yet - nowt daft like a 100 day challenge :rotfl:, just 1 day at a time.

Hellooo MWC! My bike still has the child carrier on the back for dd. She reckons she'll still fit in it, tho I'm not so sure! I think the main issue would be that her feet are too long for the foot bits and I'd kick them every time I turned the pedals.... But given that I 'want' to cycle to work, then I'll not have her there anyway... Darn it - another excuse to delay it bites the dust...
