And I also need/want to consider my long-term fitness goals... Long-term as in 3 or 4 months, starting from September. Ooh, that could take me to Christmas, a whole term .

Another cs bargainous visit - oopsie!

Lots of buildabear/babyannabel clothes for pennies each. Even in ch shops, they usually sell for ££.

And a bag with 2 bratz dolls and shoes, and plenty of dresses for barbie-style dolls.

A couple of books for 10p each, a pair of tap shoes for £2.50 all ready for dd to grow into. She umms and aahs so much about continuing with or stopping tap lessons, so this is a good investment!

And I got 8 balls of cotton yarn for the princely sum of £2.60!

However, we had a lovely time with my friend - and she bought the drinks too.

Since getting home, the floor has been covered with dollies getting their new clothes, and dd has had a quieter time than of late. I think she needed it!

We've also got a box ready for webuyb00ks. Only about £12 but still, that's money off the mortgage in my eyes! We have some box sets and I was comparing the prices on mm and wbb, allocating them to the ones that offered the most. They'll wait till dh gets me some small boxes, but I hope to get them sent off next week.

I've also made 2 more bags. One has a birdie zigzag stitched on in a different fabric, and the other is made from stripey jama bottoms that had the indecency to rip across the butt and be unmendable - unless my butt were to shrink considerably, and that aint gonna happen just yet!

My friend and I both agreed that we are thoroughly enjoying chilling out this summer, and relaxing. We reckon that changes at work (for that read 'people leaving') had made it a much better end to the term, and therefore it took us less time to switch off and unwind.

That's interesting about the book buying sites, I will have a look at that.

It's dead on Fleabay for books, and greenmetropolis is very slow these days.

I was thinking of sending some books to the charity shop, but it'd be an interesting exercise to see how much I could get for them on these websites.

    Thanks for the tip:)

I'm going to round up the books that I think are suitable, and try doing a quote on maybe one or two of the sites.

Thanks for the info, I love that I get new ideas from all the MFW's !

    Washing out to dry.

ZWOW #35 done - a right toughie! And jumping jiggle free.

Box taken to drop-off point to go to webuyb00ks.

Visited local plant/flower shop where dd got given a pansy plant because she knew what it was! Also bought lilies for lovely neighbour's b'day, as they are her fabourite flower. Turns out we're about 5 weeks early, but she loves them!

Ch shop DID have a monopoly set, but it was Junior. So left it there.

Picked up a few bits from Sains that we can only get there.

Signed dd up to the booktrail (called something weird this year) at the library.

Dd has tried on her shoes and found 3 pairs that can go.

Resisted getting a couple of knitting mags from the cs - just to look at, not because there was a pattern I really wanted.

But we did get a 1:10000 OS map for hols next fri from the library.

Just had a Crunchie and do not feel good now! Why oh why do I stuff sugar into me when I know that it definitely doesn't make me feel good!

Dh has the honour of helping dd to sleep tonight. And I get to sit downstairs with the telly OFF. It's weird to be so still and quiet! But lovely too.

My microwaveable polar bear has been today's good friend. Somehow, in amongst the weighted overhead squats and weighted pistols, and burpees and dive bombers and press ups, I have strained a neck/shoulder muscle. May even have done it whilst walking up to the library, carrying my shoulder bag wrong. Anyhow, it's not too bad and should ease up soon...

Only made 1 bag today from the jama bottoms, but that is another to add to the total. I reckon there are another 3 or 4 bags to be made from them, possibly with a little help from a sheet... I still aim to get 30 done by Thursday - 5 days left to do 9 more...

I need to mull over what sewing I'll take away with us. None of it has been hand sewing, so I may have to shift back to knitting. At least we are travelling in the car so I'm not limited by what I can carry.

    Tomorrow's list:
    - do kids klub
    - do holiday packing lists
    - print out some ideas of things to do in the area
    - email auntie to find out which day would be best to visit
    - go blackberrying
    - colours wash
    - plant out dd's free pansy plant
    - make soup

Off to go and see what big Bertha's up to, or whether she is just another storm in a tea cup...!

I'm pleased to say that most things from the list were completed. The usefulness of having a list! The only thing not done is the packing lists - well, we're not leaving until Friday so there's loads of time for that...

I was able to potter on with sewing. The jamas yielded up enough material for 4 more bags, so I have started on sewing them up. If I finish the bags and birdies, then I'll have done 10 more items.

Nipped out late afternoon to go blackberrying. No one else wanted to come so I braved the nettles and thorns on my ownsome. I hardly had to go any distance at all to fill the tupperware I had taken with me! I think I would like to fill a few more and pop them in the freezer - free food!

Nipped out early evening too, to pick up a free snorkel/flipper/goggle set for dd, that had been offered on freegle. What with all the sheets I acquired last week, I'm feeling extremely blessed with freebies.

A Monopoly set still eludes us. A couple were posted but had gone before I'd spotted them on freecycle/gle. So tomorrow dd and I shall take the necessary 3 buses to drop a bag at the Sally Army and also scoot through all the ch shops looking ONLY for books and Monopoly. Hmmm - we'll see how long that resolve can last!

Today was another NSD so the total is slowly creeping up. It has also been a day completely free from exercise! I was so weary this morning, so missed my jumping jiggle free appointment. I've considered doing it tomorrow instead, but I think the planned ZWOW + allocated jiggle will change my mind on that.

I've had lovely chats with big sis and mum recently. They have seen uncle (mum's brother) for the last time now, while I still have that privilege ahead of me. Hopefully I'll get to see him in a week or so.

I made today's 'soup' but we ate it before I zapped it, so it was more of a veggie stew! I could do with more meals like that - 6 veg, simple, and doing several portions.

My turn to be in with dd tonight. She doesn't like it when dh does it! Well, she should jolly well go to sleep more quickly then! It's been 10pm recently, far too late...

    Tomorrow's list includes:
    - drop bag off at Sally Army
    - scoot round for Monopoly
    - whites wash
    - packing lists
    - wrap dh's presents
    - follow up wrong order email
    - finish bags or birdies - both might be a little ambitious!
    - more blackberrying
