Pinot Grigio 41. Not a vintage; an mse-r. Working on clearing the National Debt. She has a diary but only posts rarely now. However, several years ago she offered us some of her dds' old clothes and a goodie box duly arrived. So when they had another clearout, she thought of us. And we got a humungous quantity! Dd loves about half and the rest will be offered around the neighbourhood.

Yay - work is done for the week. Two and a half weeks to go...
All my marking is up to date, I think... Nope, just remembered some writing test papers to mark - they'll not take too long.
Still no pupils sent home for covid. Yay. Nor staff.
Can't quite get my head around the fact that it is nearly December.
We'll be in tier 2 come Thursday. But not much will change for us personally. Although, given the opportunity, I'd go and visit mum in a flash. But I don't think they have the quick tests yet. Plus we'd have to factor in that I'd have traveled 4-5 hours on trains, etc to get there... I guess I could drive (if I could guarantee getting in to see mum) and then stay over at a hotel and drive back home the next day... But that would be a total of anywhere between 6 hours for two blisteringly good runs with no stops, to around 10 hours given the usual m'way traffic...

I have had a wonderful Monday at work. Such lovely classes. And they will defo be doing some nice cmassy activites soon, cos they've 'allowed' me to get through the work I wanted to do with them. Result.
Can't believe tomorrow is December! My y9 class announced (in response to one of them asking what advent was) that advent is about chocolate. We giggled at that, being in a Catholic school...!

I wonder what saint that is?  Sadly, I googled it myself :) and there isn't one.  Still sounds good though    and I'm glad you're nearly up to date with the marking.
