    Ooph.
Dd was supposed to have her first counselling session today. But it was cancelled. Ugh. Postponed for another week. Sigh. So all my shenanigans for rushing home to be here and join a meeting on Teams asap, and be around for dd and get someone else to go to the meeting in person for me... Not required. Needless to say, she was very delicate this morning, but did go to school and did have an ok day. Phew.
Anyhow, the day went well for me generally. I do work in a good place.

Just one or two more, karma. So it was nowt too germ-filled, phew.
Am off to aldee later on, with a list for a hamper from dd's school, who are really encouraging the pupils to be generous to the local foodbank and church (who regularly distributed meals to the local community during lockdown, and the school let them use their kitchen and I think that  the kitchen staff got involved too). They've sent out a precise list and each hamper must have all the items in it. I'm quite excited about shopping for it! And may even do two...

I bought dd some of t0sc0 finest gf millionaire's shortbread the other day. And when I suggested I have a go at making some, she informed me that no way would I ever be able to make some as delicious as the t0sc0 ones. Yesterday, she gave me a corner of one, and I had to admit that she was right! So delicious! However, I have had a go and the slab is currently chilling in the fridge. If it doesn't make her super-high standards, then at least dh + I will happily scoff it :D

Dh has just told that the PNP people are offering 15 videos for £12.99. Bargain - if you have 15 friends, eh?! We came up with 10 people immediately, so he's grabbing the offer.

Well, after getting 2x most of the items on the hamper list, and collecting dd from school, it turns out that the list was for the whole form group to make a hamper. Not an individual! Well, dd is thrilled that her form group might now make three hampers, thanks to me...
The choc caramel shortbread is a hit. Yay. Next time, I'll use brown sugar in the caramel and see if that makes the flavour even better...

This morning I finally dug up the pink bush and replanted it in my neighbour's garden. Hope it takes ok...
I also did some weeding - those pesky small ones that sneak up on you - and half filled my 'garden waste bag for life', which surprised me. I didn't get onto the poor back garden, but 55 mins of weeding and digging was enough for my hands today.
We are nearly half way through this half term and it certainly seems to be dragging along ever so slowly. Though in reality, I know that we are moving on apace as I'm determined to get through a certain amount of work and have time to do some nice cmas things with them. Assuming we all stay in the building... I'm becoming more and more aware of how I must remember to bring my planner home each day, as you never know when you will have to isolate. It might not even be an overnight thing - could be called for dd at any time of the day...
Have had some lovely email exchanges with the step-kids. We are getting cmas sorted! I just need to source 3 pairs of harry p0tter jamas and a couple or three tee shirts at a fair price. (Primarni is my best bet, but they won't be open for another 11 days...) Ah, and then post it all!

HP stuff at Primark is *so* popular, isn't it!
And I know *exactly* what you mean about those sneaky small weeds, thats what I've been doing today - nice bit of new topsoil scattered on, then bark chippings.  Looking good - three square feet, anyway :)

I've found that they do some rather nice HP stuff there, so I'm hoping they will have some this year too...
Having had another reply re gifts, I can cross the tshirts off the list and possible reduce the jamas to just 1 pair... We'll see...
Had a humungous package delivered today - dh thought it must be a duvet that I'd ordered (which I haven't) but it was too weighty for that... Then we realised that it was from Pinot Grigio and was/is a load of clothes for dd. Awesome!!! So tonight there will be a massive trying-on session with catwalk :D
