Well, I stepped on those brand new scales and was not too surprised by the score of: 171. Or 12 st 3. So I am still quite a bit heavier than dh (and rather a lot heavier than I want to be) but dh had a shock as he weighed in a stone heavier than he thought he was. I confess to feeling slightly smug... B)
There are now 50 days until the end of the year (I think). The next 21 days are 'lockdown' and the final 15 are part of my Cmas holiday. Which leaves 14 as 'normal'. Not sure what that breakdown achieves, but there you have it!

I don't blame you one bit for the slight smugness!  I'd be *very* smug in that situation :)

  • All sounding lovely apple, apart from DD's anxiety running high.
    Take care x

    Made it to the weekend!
I have started making masks for the step kids + their families - 7 masks needed. And I'm hand-sewing them for now...

  • So...7 masks need 14 lengths of elastic. Cue a trip to our local Alladin's cave of hardware and general useful-and-pretty stuff. Dd came along, to look at all their Cmas stuff. I sourced elastic, and 2x bamboo sox for men-in-law, and some bits and bobs. (New pastry brush, as current one is oil-sodden) Dd found a couple of bits, and got ideas for when she knows who her secret santa is.

I am very happy to have discovered that we can use a certain amzn prime account to watch the autumn rugby B) 2 matches so far...
We are now being couch ninjas - ninja warriors turns out to be a fave of dd. I'm sat here wincing at all the falls, splats, limbs going the wrong way... The guys on it are so fit!!
2 masks all finished (step dd2 + partner); 2 more 1/2 done (step ds + wife). I have taken it steady as I don't want to wreck my hands...

Dd wanted to be woken at 7am, as sunrise was at 7.18 today. I told her that it would be pouring down with rain, but she was adamant... Well, guess what happened at 7am when I re-iterated that it was raining....??!! She turned over and snuggled down...
Anyhow, I got my workout done and then had the urge to go out for a run in the pelting rain. I always was a foul-weather runner back when I was fit! As I went up the main road, I kept stopping to clear some leaves away from the drains. Go me! o:)
I have set up a Secret Santa for staff at school, and a 'don't-send-a-card-give-a-donation' pot too. Was tempted to fill it with vinegar (like at Eyam...)
I've also videoed myself doing an online taster lesson. Both dh and dd are going to edit it for me!
This afternoon's rugby has been cancelled as Fiji couldn't field a full team due to covid. Couldn't the French have loaned them some players? Or both sides just played with however many people they could field...? So dh has put on Ice Age 1 as dd has to watch it to spot the inaccuracies... Time to get back to the masks: 3 done, 4 to go...

Another day all done and dusted. Quite a meh day at work, as a comment made to me around mid-morning just threw me totally, and it took me until I was on the way home to sort myself out about it. I then sent a couple of emails connected to it, so it is finished with, I think.
Not much else done, really. My oomph has wandered off somewhere, so please send it back if you come across it...

    3 calls happened today.
First one was scype with my counsellor but we again had issues so used wotsapp instead.
Then I was awaiting a call from dd's dietician which came through on dh's phone (?!).
Finally, I had a z00m call with big sis, where it wasn't about what I'd expected (feared...?), so although it might be bad news, it might also end up being good news...
Ooph. That is my week's quota used up in a 4-hour window!

I took dd to school in the car this morning, as a treat, and then went on to get fuel as it is 10p cheaper then elsewhere. I also went into t0sc0 itself, to get some gf/df items and ended up spending more on food than on fuel! However, they had such a good range of items and I have started a hamper of goodies for dd for cmas.
    Another mask got completed.
I finished my place2be initial training and got my certificate. Nowt like getting a certificate, eh?!
And dd called me at the end of school, asking to be picked up in the car. A double-treat day!

My word, you've got a lot going on, Apple.  You sound like you're juggling it perfectly, though!  And I've noticed that scype doesn't happen nearly so much as wotsapp ... I have so many lovely cat photos now cos of the latter, its brilliant :)
