I wanted to get mum jamas that 'look like jamas', and these definitely fitted that pattern!

I slept until 7.50 this morning! It was too late to go to the gym (dd's anxiety levels are currently super high and she doesn't like me not being here) so I did Adriene's morning yoga. And then a Zshred this afternoon! I have booked the gym for 6.30 tomorrow, so will be home before dd awakes...
Dd and I went out to some ch shops and visited 6 of them. They all had differing rules on numbers inside so it was tricky for the anxious one. We both found some books and I also got a jigsaw, some lycra leggings and some brand new karrimor covered-toe sandals - my sis wears them, so if they are her size, she can have them for cmas; if not, then I can have them!
We had parked in t0sc0 car park so popped in there for gf/df eclairs and also got a mermaid gf/df cake mix (slightly reduced) and a black hoodie for dd (plain black, full zip, pockets - perfect)
I dealt with 4 lingering emails, which was good.
The elephant got eyes - they need 3 pieces of felt each. Small pieces at that. Circular too.
I had my session with my counsellor - no chance of going live in the near future, so I'm glad we'd had several years of proper 'live' before lockdown, as it makes the online sessions fine. Though there's nowt like proper talking in the same room.
    Tomorrow:
    -gym
    -zoom re pensions palaver
-garden needs attention - rain is forecast, but I can still cut things down...
-hem 2x trousers for mum + sew up elephant's back
-take dd to her swim lesson (and sit and read while she mermaids)

    Tomorrow:
    -gym DONE
    -zoom re pensions palaver DONE
-garden needs attention - rain is forecast, but I can still cut things down... POSTPONED
-hem 2x trousers for mum + sew up elephant's back TROUSERS STILL LONG; ELEPHANT NOW ALL SEWN UP
-take dd to her swim lesson (and sit and read while she mermaids)
    So far, so good...
Woke up at 4.50 this morning and couldn't really get back to sleep - I was due to get up at 6 anyway to go to the gym. Ugh. But I had a good session there.
Did the zoom meet - useful, so that's a good thing
Made an appt for me for a smear (always a joyous occasion!) and a phone one for dd to talk to our GP re mental health.
Something seems to have gone wrong with dd's brace last night, so we're off to the ortho soon for them to have a peek and tell us what's up.
Had a message saying there were spaces for the youth bonfire night next week, so got that booked pronto!

The ortho says the brace is fine, even with the missing thingummy. Phew.
Dd did her best mermaid impression and had a jolly good time, which was good, as she's not been too keen on the instructor thus far. I have told her that I will be going to the gym next time, as the gallery area + the changing rooms are swelteringly hot and just uncomfortable to be in.
Talking of which, I'm booked in for the gym tomorrow (but an hour later than today's silly o'clock booking), with a view to popping in to liddle afterwards, mainly to get popcorn for our movie day... :D

Just counting up dd's paid activities: ballet; swimming; lamda (from after the 1/2 term break); freestyle + tap; and  occasional other bits + bobs. Free stuff: signing; ukulele; choir; textiles; debating; zombie apocalyse (!); youth. She also wants to do some volunteering alongside me at a local charity shop. One busy child!

She really is busy :) of course, the zombie apocalypse stuff will be most important :D hopefully thats about how to light a fire and whatnot, not smashing people's brains in?

No zombie will ever catch her!
So far today we have been to the tip (with 2 bags of garden waste from yesterday's efforts) and we came away with 2 pairs of dumbells for free, which I plan to give to my neighbour for Cmas, as she currently has ours.
We also went to take a bag of books to 0xfam and mooch around the ch shops in that area (8 of them!). We got a hat for me, leather gloves for sh (for Cmas), a gorgeous blue duffel coat for dd, 3 books for her, a blue hoodie for me, a book for gs2 (for Cmas), 2 pairs of workman's gloves for gardening, a drawstring dance bag for dd's dance shoes (she currently uses a clear plastic bag!) and a working watch with a leather strap for mum (she disemboweled her last watch but likes to know the time). I used £12 of credit in the SA, so only spent a total of £10.25. Result!
I also paid in a cheque to dd's savings.
Now to sit and relax and read.
Must do some school work soon...

I picked up a yoda teeshirt for my BIL for £1 today, karma! B) The lady there remembered dd and commented on not seeing her for a few weeks - which made dd feel special. I also asked them if they ever get an accordion, then I'd be very interested in it for mum.
Turns out big sis is a 5.5 and the covered-toe karrim0r sandals I got would be too big for her. But perfect for me!
This Cmas's aim is to be simple and as ethical as poss. And not rushing it at the end, esp for the step kiddies on their different continents... I have seen a tra1dcraft calendar online for step dd2 + partner, but am hoping to find it in our local 0xfam shop. I've also found several gifts on the leprosy mission site - a charity I support.

Family: dh, dd, sis + bil, niece; step dd1 + her dh + gs1; step dd2 + partner; step ds + his dw + gs2
    Friends - several!
Work people - to show appreciation - several

Spent 70 mins waiting for my hosp appt this morning - they were already running 30 mins late by 10.15 (how???) and 70 mins late by the time it was my turn (which was scheduled for 10.15...). It took all of 10 mins max and I was discharged. Yay! The hernia in my belly button hasn't changed so it's not up to me to keep an eye on it and go and see my GP as and when necessary.

Got up and out to liddle for 8am to buy gs1 a dinosaur train set - he is mad on dinos (though I did check this with stepdd1 before buying) and already has some track from ikkea that this will just add on to.
Did some garden tidying and dug up a 'self-planted' plant thingy that I think brought all the green + whitefly to the gdn this year. It looked like a few spingly twigletty stalks. But instead had thick 2" wide, very long roots that made for an awful lot of digging and tugging to get it out. I almost gave up on several occasions, esp as the rain started. But my perseverance paid off and I eventually won the battle.
Dd's friend came round again for about 4 hours and I hardly saw them, which was brill. They were outside most of the time either on their skateboards, or eating popcorn sheltered in the bushes/trees from the rain.
I have put in more receipts - there does seem to be an abundance of them this month, oops. And I somehow still have half a dozen for August - though none for September...!
Tomorrow = early gym + get dd to do her final piece of hwk as I prep my last class to Cmas + go to 0xfam to look for a certain calendar, shampoo and books. And all before lunch, please!
