An active rest day from Chloe Ting today . Much appreciated. So I went for a walk this morning and did about 3.4 miles, which was a decent distance to do.
Finished another couple of masks - we have 2 each now :)
It is lovely to not have to keep an eye on the clock for the next lesson.
Ate my first blackberry whilst out walking. Made me think of you, karma. It is the only ripe one I have seen thus far.
Dd has done some sorting and we have a bunch of po11y p0ckets to go.And a pile of books for 0xfam one day.

Ooh, yes, I've seen a single bush with quite a few ripe ones on!
Horrendous to think you're already needing to think about how to work next year - do enjoy the time you're sharing with DD right now, and decompress from all that if you can.  You deserve it!

Thanks Karma! I do like to plan ahead.... :D
And doing it now, when I'm all used to planning and teaching might not be such a bad thing... It's not like starting from scratch; I'll look at previous years' lesson plans and tweak them, using what I've learned over the last few months to improve them.

And yes, I will defo ensure I enjoy time with dd. I can't quite believe she still loves spending time with me...

    Woke up naturally.
    Did 3(!) chloe Ting sessions.
Mowed the front (not a big deal, but needed doing) and cut back a few triffid fingers.
Dd cycled round the green on her new bike.
Picked red + green gooseberries, and loads of blackcurrants with dd.
Dd did her z00m dance class and I did my z00m taekwondo.
Dh has dismantled the heavy shelving unit thingy that we had under the stairs, and we'll use it for flooring in the loft where the old cold water tank used to be.
    Lunch is now being munched.

    So far, so good.

This afternoon we'll head up the road to send a parcel and do some food shopping. Dd may cycle but I'll walk.

We still haven't put the stuff back under the stairs...
But dh has insulated the hot water pipe and tidied up all the cables in there. It has been hoovered to within an inch of its life. A new set of shelving has been bought, assembled and stained this morning (using up a 20+ year old tin of stain!) And will go in there once fully dried and aired.
We have ordered dd's uniform bits for next year (free postage runs out in a couple of days). They are now allowed trousers - only from the one supplier, of course - but because we have a bursary, we'll get some money back. Yay. So we have ordered several items, ones she needs now and ones to grow into.
Felt energised enough to do day #10 of the Chloe Ting challenge this morning.

I am just so grateful to have a safe job. To owe only pennies on the mortgage. To have savings. To have family. I am very blessed.

My neighbour's setting off there for a week this very morning!  With his partner and his sort of mother in law.  IoW does sound idyllic in a lot of ways - its on my list, thats for sure.

I quite fancy a go at paddle boarding.  I saw a local company offering 2 hour taster sessions that I might sign us up for if we ever get a day off in August.
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75
