That sounds awful, apple.  I agree with greent - an appointment might be worth it.  Is the wound opening?  Don't answer that online, of course.  But abdominal pain sounds horrible, and necessary to check on.

Thanks greent - I slept really well last night and felt much better this morning than I expected to. And much less sore. The area doesn't look red and inflamed so I have reverted to resting a lot, stretching every so often and not picking up much. If it gets worse, I'll go along to the local walk-in centre. Promise!

Tis a smidge blowy out there...

Took dd to the library this morning and also got her a gf df honeycomb egg. From sainz, not the library...

And while she was at dance I had a good mooch round the ch shops over there. Got dh some separate silicon oven gloves (pink!) As he 'doesn't like' the joined up ones! And dd got some dungarees (much sought-after), a pair of walking trousers in a bigger size (to grow into), and several books. I also found some great quality books for gs. He adores dinosaurs and I'm planning to needlefelt him some dinos for his bday, so the books will complement them nicely. Spent £13.85.

We're now watching Incredibles 2. And letting the weather do its thing.

Woah!  A hole in your roof?  Still?  ... I missed that!  Hope you can sort it soon, and stay dry too.

  • Uh huh. Yep. Indeedy. It seemed to not be an issue... However...

And the boiler has been dripping so it's de-covered and drying out...

There are apparently some more storms due in the next few weeks (E and F already have names, but I can't remember them)  Hope the hole is not causing too many problems - and that you can find someone to sort it... x

Boiler is still working so we think it was water blown in through the flue...?

But outside, it does smell of gas...

And the flat roof drainage hole was bunged up.

Dh has cleared the bunged-up hole and emptied the water-collecting container in the roof space. He is now inspecting the boiler to see if he can spot a blockage...

Dearest apple,  lurching out of lurkerdom to say please take care of your wound.  You're treasured - yours is one of my go-to diaries though don't think I've ever come out of the shadows here before and said so; your many other admirers will agree I'm sure that we need you and if you rest up slightly, you don't need to feel bad as it will give you more time to write on here! Have a happy rested half term love Humdinger xx
