Took dd to school then headed to the gym and did my exercises + a little bit more there. It felt quite good - I can tell that my middle is healing. Still as feeble as melted jelly, but slightly less feeble than before...:rotfl:

Once home, I looked through stuff for going back to work tomorrow: dh will drive me there after we put dd on the early bus; I'll have a return-to-work meeting; possibly see my mentee; then teach 4 periods up until lunchtime; flop and tidy up and hopefully feel a little prepped for Monday's full day. Then head home - I'll see where dh is and if he can collect me but otherwise I'll get the buses and walk.

Today, dd is playing in a footie match at her sch so I'll head up there soonish and catch some of it...

I also did some marking that's been hanging over me.

Dd was so exhausted from the match (the opposition arrived really late due to traffic, so dd + the rest of them were doing more and more training, drills, skills - for an extra 45 mins!) that I decided that dh would take her to sch, and I'd go on the bus. I wasn't really looking forward to the journey but it was as smooth as it could be and only took me 50 mins. However, I was v grateful that dh could collect me when I finished.

It was good to go back - lots of lovely comments from staff and I've been more sociable than I have all year! And some squawks of delight (I think...) from some pupils. By the end of lessson 4 I was worn out, but better to return to a part day than a full teaching one with meetings either end of it plus a lunch duty.

So I'm not in for 3 days now :j. Phew.

Tomorrow I shall have a go at driving...

Thank you karma and greent. I have realised that it is carrying the heavier things that is the issue. And opening doors! So I just need to take it easy there. Or loiter until someone else comes along to open it...:rotfl:

Today I have driven. I won't be looking to reasons to drive, but it is good to know that I can do it. Dh and I went into town to return some slippers to h0tt3r as they'd be too narrow for mum's chubby feet. We also visited sainz to get some food items for dd.

Then we trawled around so many shops trying to find a suitable present for dd's friend's b'day party tomorrow. Nowt doing. So we're back to plan A - £10 in a card!!

The 6 nations has started :D
Dd is in rehearsals for another couple of hours then almost straight out to a party :D
I have been to the gym and upped my workout (still bodyweight and mostly lower body but combos rather than single exercises) :D
No money spent (cos liddle car park is tiny and had a queue and I can wait) :D

Did my marking yesterday so I have nothing major hanging over me (or if I do, I'm not aware of it!) :D

I found something major-ish that needed doing, so got that done when dd was rehearsing.

Since getting home, she's finished off some pieces of hwk. But she has managed to avoid doing a biggie, so that is a MUST tomorrow once she's back from tomorrow's rehearsal.

2/2 nsds so far, which is unexpected, but rather nice.

Finally got around to some spending today. Veggies and 85% choc (the necessities...:rotfl:) from aldee and dh met me later in sainz to get gf stuff for dd, as I still can't carry enough weight to do that shop.

Survived yesterday at work - had a few more squeals from some pupils who'd not seen me last week :D.

Today I have written an analysis report, so only a day late, but I'd talked to the boss and she was ok with that as I've been off, so she was being very kind and I'm very grateful. I hate being late.

Also done some important marking, though there's still a bit more to get on with, so I'll not get bored...

Dd is swimming tonight, so I'll go and use the gym as I'm still not sure about the swimming action just yet. Am looking forward to it - I am feeling so much better :j. Though still minimal leaping about...
