Aww, humdinger, you've made me blush! Thank you for your loverly words xI am actually just a tad concerned about a 1cm square section at the top, so am thinking - nay, planning - to go to the local walk-in centre tomorrow. (Which just happens to be near the gym... cough, cough, shhh)NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

Please don't go to the gym (thats toned down from what I wrote instinctively) ... wounds can "heal" open, you know, the medical input once you get to that situation is horrendous. Definitely, the walk in centre would be good. All the best.2023: the year I get to buy a car4

Oops! I might just have paid the gym a visit. Nowt tough. Honest. And a lovely warm shower after. Sorry karma!x!I went to the drop-in centre but would have had to wait for about an hour for a nurse to arrive, so I called my own dr, knowing I could always go back to the drop-in if nec. And got a nurse appt. So I've seen her. And am reassured that I didn't cause any problem or infection. Yes, I might have strained a bit separating the fight or just by overdoing things, but the infection bit was from the top knot of the original stitches that was still there, irritating the skin. So, she got her tweezers and pulled it out. And I now have a plaster on my tummy!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

Oh well done you! Thats good news, all's well (or easily seen to, anyway!). Aren't nurses wonderful.

And it was the same nurse I'd seen 4 weeks ago, so she 'knew' my wound. I do feel much better without the irritating knot still there, so am glad it's gone. It should all scab over quickly and then heal up now. Yay!

So, I'm feeling tons better after the knot being removed.
Didn't swim with dd yesterday as it wasn't fully scabbed over; but did do a workout with a 10k powerbag thingy.
Dd has had another much-needed pyjama day, so I've also gone nowhere!! I've done some school prep...Big sis is here and niece also stayed last night, so we've had a nice time together.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4 -
We got ourselves out and about this morning and avoided some very nasty blustery deluges that arrived after lunch.Big sis came along as she could still catch the train she wanted from that town. We went to m+s to get vests for mum -big sis paid as she was also getting herself some things. I went for an eye test but had a voucher so didn't pay. (I need new specs and want to go for a totally different look, but haven't yet found it! I usually get 2 pairs from spocksavers but realised that I never use the 2nd pair, so won't bother this time). We then popped into liddle (lurve that it is on a pedestrianised high street, so no parking whatsoever) and dh paid. I can claim an NSD!Once home, dd took herself off to do some sorting of her syl fam stuff, whilst I did more school prep. I'm almost finished - yay!Tomorrow:-gym-washing-dd to do hwk-me to tweak sch prep-needlefelt some birdsNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

I have done all 5 tasks on that list. Go me
!
I did a tough session in the gym at 7am ish and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Dd has done her hwk and I've tweaked my sch prep - if working on it for an hour equals 'tweaking'! I was pleased to find some old WSM recordings so watched them when I was needlefelting a budgie. I'm happy with what it looks likeTomorrow we are off to peruse some ch shops. Last day of the hols, and all that...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4 -
We dropped in on one of dd's friends, and stayed for about 90 mins. Wonderful! Then wandered round the ch shops but didn't get much. 2 white pillowcases for £1; compression bags where you put clothing in them, seal one end and roll them up to push the air out of a one-way valve at the other for £5 (we need to rationalise mum's clothes as the choice is overwhelming even for us non-dementia people; but can't dispose of them as she'll wear them in different weather or if/when she loses weight. So I plan to store the bags high up on her wardrobe shelf. Though that's no guarantee she'll not get them down, my chubby mountain goat mother!); lightweight jeans with pockets and elasticated waist in the next size up (sigh) for mum for £1.I was (and still am, to a certain extent) feeling overwhelmed by the week ahead, so have done myself a detailed schedule of what is happening and when. These are non-negotiable things like teaching, meetings, mentoring, duty, club, more meetings... Overall, Mon and Weds are rather manic but Tues is free until 4.30-9pm and Thurs is 'normal'. Dh is caretaking, so has to go and open up every morning at 6am ish, but return home by 7 for me to go to work, and then go back to work once he's taken dd to sch. So he has extra pressure on him for 3 days of the week. And I'm considering going to see mum on Friday...!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4
