That's a really good idea about the protein powder, though I'm not sure about the flavour2023: the year I get to buy a car0

It was all there was
. Originally they'd had choc too. Both sounded rather yukky, to be honest. I'd decided that if they had some in today, then I'd buy it. There was just the 1 tub of powder, but several tubs of 'meal replacement' which I did NOT want.:D
It's the first time I've bought the stuff. I've not looked very hard, but if I decided to get more, I'd definitely want plain stuff that wasn't laced with sugaryness... And I can now compare the protein content with cottage cheese and do a price comparison. Cos the tub is derived form whey. (well, not the tub - that's plastic!) Oooh, am rather excited by that... cost per gram of protein:rotfl:NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
But first, I really really must mark a bit more... only 4 left...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

I have made dd's bday cake. Phew.
She's at a funny age where all she had on her wishlist was fimo and books. Yet she'd really like toys too. But has no idea which one(s)... She found no clothes she wanted/needed/liked in primarni, but we did get a HP satchely=thingy.
Best go and collect her from dance. The venue got changed, so instead of being 3 miles away, it is just a mile up the road. Which meant that we were able to come home for lunch. Yippee! I drove her there, but said we'd be walking when I came back.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
The party has ended. Only 2 other girls. Both lovely. But it is so good to be just the 3 of us again...
I did a workout this morning - just a 12 min one.
Dh and I went into town after dropping dd at church (she didn't know about it) to find some bits and bobs for her bday. And we were fairly successful.
I am not a fan of the decontamination lotion (!) I am having to use pre-op. I washed my hair last night and have just had to wash it again as it was quite skanky. Now it could be that my hair is much shorter and that I did a sweaty w/o this morning, but...
Homework needs doing...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Thats a nice little party - at that size, you're not going to get much early teenage hysteria
Decontamination lotion, by the way - that sounds fairly unpleasant!

Dd has had a great birthday day.
She opened some presents at 6.30 and saved the rest for when she got home. She also had a phone call from her big sis in Canada and my big sis in power-cut-central, both of which were lovely.
I skedaddled out of work and drove to have my blood leeched/leached? from me. I was chuffed to find a parking spot near the hosp. And the blood people are super efficient. And my lovely blood-sucking lady wished me well with the op, which was delightful of her.
Plenty of walking today, esp as dd texted to ask me to walk up to meet her after school. I got 3/4 of the way there, as she'd dallied in one of the shops! So I've got up to around 16k steps. :T
Tomorrow has a big list including a foodbank shop, a neighbour shop and an 'us' shop; a gym visit; marking (still got some speakings, and have added reading and writing to the pile. At least I found the 'safe place' where I'd put the marked listening papers...); then report writing; and swimming...
But for now, I'm sitting with dd and we can both read and relaxNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Got dd up early again. But not to open presents this time. Instead, she had to finish the History hwk we discovered last night. It was not on the system and we only came across it as dd had to stick some papers into her book...
I got all the shopping bits done and then trotted up to the gym. Not many peacocks today but I did notice a couple of chaps who were only doing arm-expanding exercises. Maybe it was their 'arm day'... The spin group could obviously only function with high decibel music playing, for the instructor to yell over the top of...
Me? I did a 'proper' workout :rotfl:that left me looking like a beetroot: this:  without the attached anger. Ironically, it's called 'fcuk the gym workout'. I also added an extra 4 mins of skipping + reverse push ups.
I had a go on the super duper measure everything machine. Ooh, I could've played with it for hours! The good news is that my visceral fat is 8 (%, I think) and it's good to have it between 1 and 12, so I'm pleased with that. It also showed you muscle per limb and all sorts of other stuff I can't now recall.
May I publicly announce that I have finished marking the speaking tests. A round of applause please...:T:T:T. now to have an early lunch and then do the reading papers...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
:T:T:T applause as requested for finishing the marking
:T:T:T :T:T:T even more applause for the figure on visceral fat!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thank you, karma! Did you notice my failure to even hint at the other sort of fat...? Or weight...?! Or the dreadful bmi...
This evening I have (re)discovered that those pesky 12 min workouts leave their mark. Not always immediately (apart from a red face), but several hours later, it's like the muscles go, 'Wait. What? What did you do to me?' And they start to rebel!
That history hwk? Wasn't a hwk. So we are one up there...
Dd got home in such a state today that we didn't go swimming. An early tea with lots of food seemed to sort her out.
All my marking is done. Yay. Tomorrow I must must must write the reports. Cos goodness knows what I'd write after the anaesthetic...! Might make entertaining reading, but probably wouldn't go down well...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
