Happy New Year!
New month. New year. New decade. Yikes!
Health, wealth and a life well-lived lies ahead.
Starting with getting up at 7 and doing a super tough bodyrock workout. Ooph. But fun too.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Wow, you didn't let up at all on the workouts? Your 2020 is going to be fantastic, with that level of dedication2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thanks karma.
You're my cheerleader!
I have wiped all my wii(not so)fit data and started all over again. Although I got a wiifit age that is 13 years below my real age (nice), I now know my weight (sigh) and bmi (oh dearie dearie me). A starting point...change is required...
Dd and I went up to the playground earlier to try parkour moves. Unfortunately it was all too wet and slippery, but dd did manage to do some stuff. And I'd taken my skipping rope, so was doing bursts of that. I did try one wall move, to show her what I meant, and have gotten myself a big hurty bruise on my leg to show for it. Whoops.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Big sis and niece are here for a couple of nights. So I decided to show off my bruise and get some sympathy. Hah! Niece trumped it by having 3 whopping great big purple bruises on her butt, thigh and calf. But she got hers by falling down some stairs on NYE. I got mine by being tough and doing parkour :rotfl:.
Had my pre-op appt this aftrnoon, and the be-prepared-for-this-to-take-3-hours appt lasted 50 mins :T. Height, weight, pulse, blood pressure, a gazillion questions, ECG, and bloods. I filled several canisters with my precious red blood... Lovely Brian the nurse did have to come and find me in phlebotomy as my 'bmi was a little high' (aah, bless him for being so nice) as they needed another test doing too.
The cmas cards are down and cut up for present tags for next year. And I'm keen to tidy/remove 10? items per day whilst I have the oomph to do it.
Tomorrow I need to exercise, prep a certain class, re-do my y11s, tidy up some more, help dd build her town, do a sainz shop and foodbank shop and library visit, start to sort dd's bday bash...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I'm glad the pre op went well, and Brian was sweet2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Today started later than usual as big sis was sleeping on the sofa downstairs. Given the open-plan-ness of the downstairs, I didn't want to disturb her before 8. She went out for a run at 9 ish, so I did another bodyrock workout - about 18 mins of it - called Right There.
I emailed my head about needing (even) more time off re the op, as I have to go for more blood tests 2 days before the op. Which falls on dd's bday. If I did the full day at work, then got myself over to the hosp (ie bring car home and then get bus each way) I'd miss most of her birthday. Not that I mentioned that in my request! Anyhow, y11s are doing their mocks so I need just 1 lesson of cover. And I got the green light. Phew.
Really enjoying having visitors. But will really really enjoy having our space back tomorrow :rotfl:. We have to go back to town as the blouses I bought for dd have the wrong neck. Only realised once I'd ironed in the name tags, so can't return them. Must make sure that we get the right sort this time... Visitors are leaving early, so we can drop them at a bus or tram stop.
I knocked a tray of bits off the table today. Which was rather a good thing, as it forced me to tidy them up and deal with them. I'm twitching to needlefelt again, but am aware that it requires quite a lot of space around me and I really must clear away the gubbins first...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
We were up and out fairly promptly. Big sis and niece both got their respective trains.
Had a good mooch round the ch shops in town, as well as getting the correct blouses for dd. Found a small needlefelting kit for £6. I got it for the book of ideas, needles and wool, and reckon it was a good acquisition. Also got myself 2 tops for £1 each, a book for dd's bday + 2 Saint books for £4.50. And bits from t1ger for £6.50 which will be perfect for raffle prizes with my classes next term.
Still waiting for my needlefelting stabber thingy and book to arrive before I launch myself into any new projects. So I spent some time today re-doing some santas and robins, and making a couple of penguins and most of an elephant head. There are 5 more bodies to add wool to and I'd like to finish them soon...
Need to get my head in gear tomorrow re school. It has been a super relaxing time offBut good prep will make the next half term easier.

Just spent £143 on shoes. Eek. For mum. Phew. H0tter are having a sale. So footwear has gone from extortionate to just super expensive... 3 pairs, to replace her current ones when needed. They are the same colour and style so as not to cause any confusion.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Hotter are amazing, aren't they! I only wear other people's cast offs, but still2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Personally, I'm trying to go as flat-shoed as I can. Not ballet-pump flat though. But with as little difference between the heel and front foot as possible. I foresee needing to save up for shoes for myself soon! I don't want to shprten my calf muscles/achilles/foot tendons after spending time stretching them...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
