I have to sort out my manky shoulder before doing taekwondo unfortunately. The swimming didn't make it worse; the digging up of canes and a tree possibly did... Anyhow, I have a physio appointment for 10 days time. I reckon I need a specialist to 'release' it, as then the swimming + meathead exercises + exercise band exercises will be more effective. I do have a pretty good range of motion, but things like pouring water from the kettle require a wiggle of the arm cos my arm won;t do that movement. Or standing with my arms by my sides and lifting my elbows out to the sides to be level with my shoulders give a weird dip/hole in my shoulder and unevenness. In short, time to get someone to sort it out for me!

Dd had bonus swimming today - the instructor gave them an extra 20+ mins. And by the end they were all jumping in the deep end and swimming all the way down. They all stopped and held the side at some point, but it showed massive improvement in both confidence and skill. I went in for 20mins at the end and am shattered now - v glad we don't have to go tomorrow.

I have finished 4 more bunnies + their clothing. I must admit that they look very cute :D. Now I need to sew up and stuff what I've knitted, and sew up what I've cut out... And not cut out any more bunnies...

Didn't get a much desired lie-in today, as big sis was leaving by 7.30 and I wanted to see her.

Have spent the majority of the day on the sofa after a much-needed hot bath. I found a rubgy union match on freesports, and a rugby league one on bbc. Yay! And I have made 6 felt hanging reindeer and 7 robins. And haven't left the house - the nearest I got to outside was opening the bathroom window a crack.

Still to complete: 3 gingerbread men; sewing up santas + he110 kitties and then embroidering their faces and stuffing them; sew up dsd2's hat that I knitted on my 12mm needles. And then I can do more bunnies :D.

Sadly it's about normal in my experience for a Y6 trip. My friend had a £400+ bill for her son at a different local school!!

And congrats on your anniversary badge! :T

Very very happy to have had an extra hour to sleep, as dh is doing PA at church and I'm on kids klub and we usually have to be up at 7 for those.

Dd also woke up naturally, so she should have a less weary day...

Thanks for your reply greent. I need to find and talk to the person who will be in charge of the food - to impress on them the importance of avoiding cross-contamination as regards dd's food: use a different toaster, bread board, knives, cooking containers... If necessary, I'll provide her food in sealed containers for each meal, and the tea one will be a 'zap it in the microwave' one...

Earthie - they are going to a local scout centre. So not a pgl on the continent! It seems rather a lot to me, esp as I know they try to keep the costs right down. But that ain't cheap!

Kids klub was loud today. Was glad to have a quiet journey home.

I have dd's posh sch application ready to take up there, and she has done the paperwork she needed to for 2 scholarships she wanted to go for. Still need to finish her portfolio for the art one.

And I have mended 3 toys that dd put in the 'toy hospital' box a while ago, so she is happy and I am smug.

Paid out £65 for the first instalment of her sch journey, 3 tea towels, a WWII experience bus and a museum visit. Yikes.

And her dance exam fees invoice has arrived - £77 due soon...

Just as well the last 2 days have ben NSDs, taking me up to17 for the month so far.

Dd is still off tomorrow - she wants to do art stuff and go round the charity shops. :D

Sewed up the seams on dsd2's hat - just 2 pompoms to make now.
