Apple muncher's number crunching

Dh was late home (by our standards) last night, and out again pretty early this morning. He has now gone for a little lie down!
Dd and I went round 4 ch shops near her dance classes and we found a few bits. Got dh a star wars black hoodie for cmas (used £4 of credit, so only paid out £1), dd got some tartan shorts, a book and a plastic carry case/portfolio thingy to pur her art work in.
While dd danced, I walked a couple of laps of the park with another mum, then I ran/walked another couple of laps. I was v happy to discover that the place has showers, so I came away all clean and glistening. And feeling smug for doing some exercise without wrecking my knee.
Am sat watching a recording of munster v gloucester, whilst knitting dsd's hat. Using thr v thick wool on my 12mm needles is hard work for my hands, so I have to ration the time I spend using them.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
The run and showers in the dance class is great, wish I could find something like this (for free!)15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

I'll be using them again, definitely! And because we drive there, I'm not limited by what I can carry on my back.
Swim lesson #1 done. Only 5 kiddies! :T All better than dd, mostly due to being confident about putting their face/head in the water. Excellent instructor. Dd made huge progress. Back tomorrow, and I'll swim while she has her lesson and then we'll stay in for her to have more practice
Munching lunch while watching pro bull riding! Surprisingly entertaining! Then once the sun is on the rasp patch, I'll start to dig them up. Now I've written it down, I'll have to do it...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
The rasps have been halved. I did it in batches of 20 mins on + 20 mins off , to try not to wreck my hands. Tho I have overdone it, especially on the pulling them up side of things. I didn't even attempt anything with the small apple tree which has to go too! That'll be a job for dh...
I want to create a square foot area of garden and dd and I can share it.
Shoulder took ab it of a pounding whilst digging/pulling/discarding. I have dugout :rotfl: the physio'sdetails and the lady I saw last time (2 years ago, problem recurred due to lugging heavyish rucksack to and from mum's every 2 weeks) is still there, so In3ed to make that appt.
Got another NSD - up to 14 now.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Another great lesson for dd. And I did 30 lengths while she was there. Fair wore myself out!
Dh took the rasps to the tip, so the garden looks a bit tidier. I took the day off digging and cutting back as my shoulder is not good. Got a physio appt for next Mon, so not too long to wait. That also meant that we didn't go to the evening taekwondo session - I think it would damage/hurt my shoulder. Admittedly, we were all happy not to go!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Swim school #3 done. I just went in the pool for 20mins at the end.
And a successful visit to £land: 3x wool, 2x pack of seeds (edible ones, not planting ones), pistachios, greaseproof paper, a HP canvas bag for dd, apples. All for £8.
The b00k people have delivered my order, so that's 5 cmas gifts sorted. I wrote a list weeks ago, of people to buy for, and it came to 30. EEEK .NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

We all struggled to wake up this morning. This swimming lark is tiring. Well, dh has no excuse!
But off we pottered again to the pool. It was butterfly today and really showed dd's progress as on Mon she wasn't mega happy about even putting her face in the water. I went in for 20 mins afterwards and we had a good play in the water.
Picked up more HPotter bags from the £shop, for presents. And pipe cleaners to use as stems for my poppies.
And this afternoon we all popped to some ch shops. 5 fiction books for £1.25; 2x jeans/cords for dd for £5; 2 tops for me for £4; lycra leggings for £2; 2 ponies for £1; a slab of artist canvas for £1; bits for dh for £2ish.
Now settled down with some Bond.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

How is dd feeling/you feeling about no brownies?15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

How is dd feeling/you feeling about no brownies?
We are totally ready for it earthie! She could have left when she turned 10, and gone up to guides, but wanted to stay. When a good friend turned 10 and moved up, we thought dd would too. But no, she wanted to stay.
I think the change in heart has simply come as she has grown up - much of what their pack do is 'very nice', gentle, non-adventurous. And taekwondo runs on the same evening, with a family session so dh and I can start that alongside dd. And dd said that she was only staying at brownies to be with one other girl, and they could always have play dates anyway. When I told the girl's mum, she said that they'd been thinking about changing to scouts anyway!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
