A few days ago, dd decided to give up brownies at half term. Yay! So today was her last one. I made gf/df choc chip biscuits for her to take in and share, which seem to have gone down well.
I have been doing some shoulder rehab exercises from DieselCrew on utube. They are total meatheads! And here's me doing the exercises with little or no weight at all. And only 2 rounds of 10, not 3-4 rounds of 12-15. Hey, at least I can 'improve'.
Felt like running today. Steady tiger! I did waddle along rapidly after seeing my counsellor, to ensure that I caught the bus up the hill. And wore my newbalance vibrams for doing the brownies run. And I have already got a running kit together to take with me to work so thst I can choose to stop off in the big park/field onthe way home, and have a waddle if I wish.
What about a 1000 day challenge? Not sure; I sometimes struggle to keep focussed for just a month...
Have done 15 000 steps today, which is normal for a Tues. I used to regularly get 12 000 most days, and then we bought a car...
Enough wittering on. Time to go and read my Saint book. Gotta love Simon Templar.

I can't bring myself to use the tarnished cutlery greent! I guess I need to take all the tarnished stuff out and see just how much of it there is. And then come up with a cunning plan to replace it.
I went for a 'run' today on the way home. Nowt far. Nowt fast. But I was suspended in the air every so often with both feet off the ground. I am now very very ready to go to sleep, but need to give dd a chance to drop off first.
Dh has bought me a crock pot/slow cooker for cmas. It's only a small one, but it didn't cost much and means that I can get on with making some bone broth. And I don't have to wait another 70 sleeps to get it. Result.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Well done on the run even though you weren't going fast. I've tried to take up jogging several times but seem to get shin splints every time. I did get to week 5 run 2 on the NHS couch to 5k but ended up with them again, after letting them recover tried again but it's just not meant to be. My body just isn't designed for running but is perfect for plodding. I want to be a graceful gazelle but I'm more an arthritic rhino:rotfl:.
We have a stock pot which is getting used here most days at the moment. It's simple to use and the smell of food cooking is wonderful when you either get up in the morning or when you come in at night unless you're making dog soup ( I cook all the peelings and stalks which I collect and freezer over the week and then whizz up and feed to our dog )which is abit smelly:eek:0 -
Have you tried off-road running CR? It's much better for your body than running on tarmac and pavements (and more interesting I think - whatever your speed running through a wood or along a riverbank is more fun than along a road)Choose kind0

Off road jogging is where I was running, spent more time making sure i didn't fall over tree roots etc than looking at my surroundings.

4 small bunnies + clothing all cut out.
Did some knitting on my 12mm 1€ needles that I bought out in Spain - working out the stitches/wool I need for a hat for dsd2.
Walked a couple of miles through the woods (then caught the bus) to the ch shops where I bought myself a leather belt, a pretty fleece zip up jacket for mum and some white and tartan fabric remnants.
Did my meathead :rotfl: shoulder rehab exercises + some I remember from when I had physio 2 years ago.
Didn't go to c0sta :T
Kept off added sugar (apart from 85% choc...)
Booked dd onto a swim school course for next week. Ages 8-11 beginners, 5 days, 30 mins, £28.25, at our nearest pool. Can't quite believe I found it. Well smug.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
