Sounds great am. Love the sound of HP cluedo. Glad the visit to mums was so successful, pleased to hear your toe is on the mend.

Did I not mention that I won the cluedo game? Must've slipped my mind :rotfl:. Smug face was on for quite a while...

We have just watched the Prisoner of Azkhaban - think my favourite part is where Hermione punches Draco in the face.

Workout done this morning before my brain could wake up and object - same as the last two workouts, which means that the next three will be different. I plan to change it after every 3, then at the end do them all one more time to see if I get more reps - ie if I've improved.

Work tomorrow. We are spending a good portion of every school holiday up at mum's - we are so fortunate that we are all in the world of education and get the holidays. Dd hasn't yet moaned about having to go - it's not a proper holiday at all for her, but she's so good :D.

We have a week of internal exams this week (then marking, then reports, of course), followed by an 'enrichment' week with everyone off timetable, then it is a countdown to the end of the year where you try to get them back into learning after a 3 week break, but the y9s who aren't continuing with my subject can be a right pickle...

Church, walking, sewing, ironing, knitting and weeding have also featured today. Time to get dd to bed and get my book out and set my alarm for an early start.

    Oops - forgot - week 11/12.

    Yikes, so near the end!

Health: toe injury set me back last week with pain, bruising and general immobility; didn't eat well for a few days, then picked myself up; good family week; achey hands after bham.

Wealth: used railcard for travel to bham and it was only £5 more than when I go on my own! Spent too much in azda but left big sis plenty of food so she'll need to buy less. Worked the group travel system well.

Life well lived: visited mum a couple of times with dd in tow; dh sorted out the languishing curtain rails; we took stuff to the ch shop thus clearing space; gumt people took stuff; I cleaned the windows, thoroughly hoovered; saw lovely friend across the way.

Hate that end of year disengagement. Projects were always my fave activity at that time of year :)

Projects are good. But I teach them French and don't have access to computers for research. Hmmm, not giving up on the idea just yet. Maybe they can choose a French person or place and present it any way they want (ie in English (!), pictures, bullet points, articles) and the ones that are continuing with French get given a certain amount of work that must be completed for their return in Sept, so they can opt to do project work or proper work...I may just have the start of a plan there! Thank you earthgirl!

In other news, the cardi is finished as far as making all the components. Fronts are attached to the back - did a while ago when I did the collar - and 1 sleeve is attached. So, t'other sleeve, side seams, buttons and pockets. It must be sent tomorrow...no pressure...

Lovely chat with stepdd. She is on better painkillers so feeling lots better, and bfeeding the baby is going well. She saw the surgeon today and her wound is healing up very well - she may only need 2 more weeks using the vacuum-suction-pump-thingy, instead of 4 or 5.

Workout done: 12x10/50: deadlift (12K kettlebell); kneeling press up; deadlift L; crab toe touch; deadlift R; knee hug.

15K steps also done. I got well soggy going into work. I've had to wear my trekking sandals since injuring that toe, so you can imagine the state of my feet as I squelched in to work. Straight to the loos, stood on 2 paper towels and put the dyson-style hand drier through its paces trying to dry out my sandals. I was invigilating all morning in a classroom, so just did it barefoot. The kids didn't bat an eyelid :rotfl:!

We observed a minute's silence at 11 and I was well impressed with the pupils who'd done a 2 hour exam session followed by wet break. They were so respectful. So proud of them :D.

Much to do tomorrow. Counsellor takes up all morning by the time I've got there, done stuff, and got back. Especially if I stop off for shopping. But dd has a club after school, so I get an extra hour to fit it all in...

The cardi is finally completed, photographed, and posted to big sis :T. I am so relieved to have finished it.

The last of the banks + EPA has been done. I'd forgotten about it when planning out the day, but fortunately remembered in time.

5 more bunnies also finished :T.

A really helpful session with the counsellor, which has been very helpful (!) indeed. Cathartic.

I shall make 15k steps again today. Go me!

You're so consistent apple. Hope the toe is on the mend, despite your injury your exercise and step count is impressive. I need to get back into the routine of exercise, have completely fallen off the wagon since our holiday.

Thank you Cath. Stepds is getting wed in August of next year, in Oz, so I now have a target date to see results, albeit 14 months away!

Ooph. Finished work for the week. Dh has an extra day's work tomorrow and Mon, so tomorrow I'll have the house to myself for several hours :D. No one to interrupt the tennis...

Big sis' bday present parcel arrived on time and the postman sang happy birthday to her!

Did some fairly brisk walking today, shifting up from 'a steady pace' and now my toe a c h e s. Back to steady for a while longer, and no chance of running for yonks yet...
