Went in early and got out early. Result. Caught 8 buses today!

Saw the final timetable for next year and it's fine.

Made a decision at work about something that has been nagging at me for about a year. It may cause ructions with a colleague, but it is something that always falls to me to do and the other person needs to do their part and I need to stop carrying them, so I am asking to split the allocation so we are each responsible for pur own bit. I'll need to find the right words to phrase my reasoning...

Did a workout as soon as I got home. 12x10/50: 5k overhead squat (could NOT keep my arms straight at all when squatting!); sandbag (c 11k) clean and press; sandbag squat; elevated feet reptile; sandbag sumo squat; kneeling press up. Tough on my shoulders, this one, but good.

Managed to knock my toe joint this evening, so it is now aching like billy-o. It has done well, mending as well as it has.

A day off tomorrow with very little planned.:D

I had a relaxing day - but lost much time playing a certain game on my tablet, so I am banning it for the rest of the weekend.

Today is my school fair day - and what glorious weather we have for it. Dh will take dd to dance and then they'll both come along afterwards. Guess I'd best get myself up, fed and dressed. And decide what food to take when it's so hot - I was thinking of ham + coleslaw wrapped in lettuce leaves as they can travel next to my frozen bottle of water and I can eat them at 11.30 before the fair opens...

Good luck with the fair today!

Life in Apple Land is sounding lots better these days, I'm glad to hear things are settling down and healing. (& mortgage side of things is looking tip top :) well done!)

PS. I've had horrendous achey hands and an injured toe as well, how funny. Hope we both say goodbye to these annoyances soon ;)
a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library
  • Sounds yummy. Except for the ham (vegetarian!).

Ooph. Thoroughly enjoyed the fair. The pta are a lovely bunch. And I made £80. :T Dh and dd came along and dd enjoyed the bouncy castle and stalls while dh enjoyed the burgers.

For once I remembered to take both before and after pictures so I can look and see what sold.

Now to cool down and relax...

A day off church today. There is a vintage car pageant in a big park that is on the way. And a gazillion people go to it, which creates massive traffic snarl ups.

I have done two (!) workouts. Both 12x10/50. The first was 3.5k overhead squat; sandbag cleanand press; sandbag squat; elevated feet reptile; sandbag sumo squat; kneeling press up. The second was squat + side leg lift; V-up mid; laying side leg raise - right; v-up right; laying leg raise left; v-up left. And a good 10min cool down.

Dd and I may trot up to the woods later, with some bunnies and other wares, and try out some photo shoot locations.

Tis a tad warm, indeed! I did my exercise at about 7am, outside in the shade - definitely the only sensible time and location to do it.

Dh has patched the paddling pool so that 2 of the 3 layers stay inflated. It may see us through this year...

We all trotted up to the woods and dd and I took a few pics. She does need a proper camera - just has a kiddizoom one.

Dd had a great afternoon split between next door's mega paddling pool and then warming up in our garden before going back for more fun. She's acquired a lovely burple (blue + purple) bruise on her hip and is now sitting with an ice cube on it.

A day where you wish you didn't have to go to work on the morrow...
